HYACK INTERNATIONAL PARADE AND FESTIVAL

Saturday 11 am – 4 pm, The parade starts at eighth ave and sixth st and ends at Queen’s Park, New Westminster

The annual Hyack International Parade is our province’s largest family-oriented parade with over 120 entries from throughout BC, Washington, and Oregon. You won’t want to miss the high-energy, colourful and entertaining procession of floats, marching bands, community groups, mascots, performance artists, and more that fill the streets of New Westminster. It’s a “can’t miss” event for the entire family! Thousands of people join us for the ”Hyack International Parade” and stay with us to celebrate the ”Hyack Festival” in Tipperary Park.

LADNER MAY DAYS

Saturday & Sunday 11 am – 11 pm, Memorial Park, Delta

The Ladner May Days Fair is one of British Columbia’s largest free family fairs, featuring live bands, free entertainment, a market, carnival rides, and a beer garden for the adults. On Sunday you can watch the May Days Parade which kicks off at noon.

ICS MAY FAIR 2023

Saturday 11 am – 2 pm, Immaculate Conception Parish, 3778 W.28th ave,Vancouver

Celebrate spring with friends and family at this neighbourhood event where everyone is welcome! BBQ and Beer Garden, live music, children’s crafts and games, high tea room, quilters table and photo booth.

SPRING FAIR

Saturday 10 am – 3 pm, Rene Memorial Park, Burnaby

This free, 5-hour event will be in May featuring a variety of activities for all ages to enjoy. It is an excellent opportunity for families to celebrate the diversity and unity of the community and especially have fun together.
There is also over $1500 worth of raffle prizes to be given away. Plus food trucks, games, crafters, pony rides and more.

TOUR DE MARPOLE

Saturday 11 am – 3 pm, west 66th avenue and Granville, Vancouver

Community tens, music, face painting, a photo booth and you can sign up for a free guided walking tour.

VANDUSEN PRESENTS SPRING STRINGS

Saturday 12 pm & 4:30 pm, VanDusen Gardens

Join for an afternoon cello concert on the Great Lawn and spend the day roaming the beautiful botanical gardens. The laburnum walk is not to be missed!

BURNABY BLOOMS

Saturday 11am – 4pm, Burnaby Mountain Conservation Are, 100 Centennial Way

Free live entertainment and participate in activities and demonstrations in this springtime celebration.

SPOT PRAWN FESTIVAL

Sunday 11 am – 3 pm, False Creek Fisherman’s Wharf, Vancouver

The same family-friendly festival remains with live cooking demos with some of Vancouver’s top chefs! Fun for the kids, live music and more! Free access to the docks and live cooking demos.

BC POLISH FESTIVAL

Sunday 1 pm – 9 pm, Port Coquitlam Recreation Centre Plaza

The entire event is free and has an abundance of entertaining performances, great food, polish beer and fun for all ages. There will be plenty of delicious food such as pierogies, barbequed sausages, hunter’s stew, potato pancakes, ham hocks and famous Polish cakes and pastries. Parents will be able to enjoy some Polish Beer while children can
participate in folk art workshops.

SURREY SPARK STAGES FAMILY WEEKEND

Saturday & Sunday, Surrey Arts Centre, Surrey

Experience amazing performances from South Korea, Denmark, Australia, Quebec and BC! Shows for babies, toddlers, and tweens that grown-ups will love too. Come for the shows…stay for the magic! Your show ticket includes all the fun activities you can explore between shows like puppet making, dancing and delightful pop-up performances.

JURASSIC WORLD LIVE TOUR

Saturday & Sunday, Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver

Jurassic World comes to life for the first time in a touring arena show! Your trip to Isla Nublar takes a terrifying turn after the Indominus rex escapes and causes chaos in the park! The adventure continues as you join forces
with a team of scientists to unravel a corrupt plan and save Jeanie, an all-new dinosaur, from a terrible fate. Along the way, experience some of Jurassic Worlds most iconic dinosaurs including Blue the Raptor, Triceratops, Pteranodons and the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex! Showtimes on Saturday at 11 am, 3 pm and 7 pm and on Sunday at 11 am and 3 pm.

COMO LAKE FISHING DERBY

Sunday 6 am – noon, Como Lake Park, Coquitlam

A free event for youth under 16 years of age. The Como Lake fishing derby has prize giveaways and a pancake breakfast available. As the children fish, parents are welcome to enjoy the pancake breakfast. Remember to bring your own fishing pole and bait.
