2023 CLOVERDALE RODEO AND COUNTRY FAIR

Saturday – Monday 10 am – 11 pm, Cloverdale Rodeo, 6050 176 St, Surrey

After a three-year hiatus, the Rodeo and Country Fair will be in full swing with live entertainment, food trucks, Midway rides & games and featured attractions for the whole family.

VANCOUVER COMIC ARTS FESTIVAL

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 5 pm, Roundhouse Community Centre

VanCAF is a two-day celebration of comics and graphic novels and their creators, including an exhibition and vendor fair featuring hundreds of creators from around the world. Other Festival events include readings, comic lessons for kids, panels, and workshops.

MAY DAY FORT LANGLEY

Monday 8 am – 4 pm, Fort Langley Park

The May Day Parade is on Victoria Day each year in Fort Langley. Come celebrate the 101st annual May Day in historic Fort Langley. The May Day Parade is followed by a Family Fun Festival in the Park.

LONG WEEKEND AT BURNABY VILLAGE MUSEUM

Monday 11 am – 4:30 pm, Burnaby Village Museum

Explore historical exhibits and live demonstrations. Watch the blacksmith heat and hammer metal objects in Wagner’s Blacksmith Shop. Take a ride on the restored 1912 C.W. Parker Carousel, enjoy a picnic lunch in the meadow. Free admission!

SPRING DROP IN AT HISTORIC STEWART FARM

Monday 12 pm – 4:30 pm, Historic Stewart Farm, Surrey

Spend Victoria Day in a Victorian setting! The very vintage farmhouse door is open this Victoria Day, welcoming visitors to celebrate spring. Tour the house, watch a heritage demo, stroll the riverside grounds and do a craft. A lovely local, free day for the whole family.

JURASSIC QUEST

Saturday-Monday 9 am – 8 pm, Abbotsford Tradex

Calling all dino-fans! Walk with a larger-than-life dinosaur herd with your friends and family as Jurassic Quest roars through Abbotsford! Play with adorable baby Dinos, excavate fossils, or even train a raptor while surrounding by behemoths like sky-scraping Spinosaurus and, the King himself, Tyrannosaurus rex!

ROYAL CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL CIRCUS

showtimes Saturday – Monday, Lansdowne Centre, Richmond

Come under the Big Top and get a glimpse into a traditional circus world. Jam-packed with explosive live entertainment, featuring high-flying acrobatics, death-defying tricks, towering feats of strength, teetering towers of balanced bodies, extreme bending and devilishly precarious aerials!

THE LIGHTNING THIEF: PERCY JACKSON

showtimes Saturday – Monday, JCC Norman Rothstein Theatre, Vancouver

Adapted from the best-selling book The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan and featuring a thrilling original rock score, The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is an action-packed mythical adventure.

ALL BRITISH CLASSIC CAR SHOW

Saturday 10 am – 4:30 pm, Van Dusen Gardens

An entertaining gathering of British-built classic cars, exhibitors and vendors will be on display at the Great Lawn.

COLOUR FEST

Saturday 5 pm, Town Centre Park, Coquitlam

Colour Fest is a celebration of the Spring festivals Holi and Vaisakhi. This multi-dimensional festival features vibrant music and dance performances by South Asian artists and a live Colour Zone where participants cover each other in coloured powder. Families can also participate in Vaisakhi and Holi themed art activities. Food Trucks will be on site serving delicious treats!

RICHMOND NIGHT MARKET

Saturday and Sunday, 8351 River Road, Richmond

This would be a great weekend to check out the more than 250 food booths and trucks offer options from churros and butter beer to hot pot and bubble waffles. The night market has exciting new decorations including a custom 60-foot bouncy castle, oversized prop chairs, neon lights, and a Wonderland-themed forest.

BLIPPI: THE WONDERFUL WORLD TOUR

Saturday & Sunday, Vancouver/Abbotsford

Blippi, along with his best friend Meekah, inspires curiosity in preschoolers around the world by creating content and experiences that are relatable, accessible and make learning fun. Saturday’s 5 pm show is at Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, and Sunday at 1 pm at the Abbotsford Centre.
