THE VANCOUVER CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL

The longest running professional performing arts festival for young audiences and the first of its kind in North America and Europe the Vancouver International Children’s Festival presents the world’s finest music theatre dance puppetry acrobatics and storytelling as well as creative arts activities for the entire family.
PITT MEADOWS DAY
Saturday 8 am – 7 pm, Harris Road Park, Pitt Meadows
This beloved community tradition includes a pancake breakfast, an artisan/exhibitor market, live entertainment, food trucks, a family-friendly beverage garden, children and youth activities, there is also a parade which starts at 11 am.
LADNER BANDFEST
Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 5 pm, Memorial Park, Ladner
The Ladner Bandfest brings over 500 amateur adult musicians playing in various Community Concert Bands to Memorial Park, Ladner for continuous FREE 40 minute concerts on two stages all day, both days throughout the weekend. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy an old-fashioned weekend of concert band music.
HATS OFF DAY
Saturday 9:30 am – 4 pm, Hastings St, from Boundary Rd. to Gamma Ave., Burnaby
A two-kilometre street party with live and roving entertainment, activities, (literally) street food from around the world, a Show & Shine, Merchants’ sales and giveaways, Burnaby Not-for-Profits’ displays, and more. Family Fun Dash begins at 9:15 am.
PLAYLAND OPENING WEEKEND
Saturday & Sunday 11 am – 5 pm, PNE site, Vancouver
It is opening weekend for Vancouver’s favourite amusement park. Enjoy family fun, thrills, games, attractions, and good mood food!
KITS POOL OPENING DAY
Sunday 9 am – 8:30 pm, Kitsilano Pool, Vancouver
A great weekend to hit the pool and fortunately Kits Pool is open for the season starting this Sunday! A beautiful pool with the best view.
WEST VANCOUVER COMMUNITY CULTURAL FEST
Saturday 11 am – 9 pm, Ambleside Park, West Van
Everyone is welcome to this festival which includes cultural pavilions, live music, international dancers, food trucks and a kids zone.
MARPOLE COMMUNITY DAY
Saturday 11 am – 3 pm, Oak Park, Vancouver
Everyone is welcome to this community festival. Free activities on the day include amusement rides, inflatables, games, activities, stage performances and professional entertainment.
DAY OUT WITH THOMAS

Enjoy an interactive train ride aboard Thomas with Sir Topham Hat, and explore all the fun the museum has to offer.
