CAR FREE DAY VANCOUVER

Sunday 12 pm – 7 pm, Denman Street from Davie to Robson

The final Car Free Day of the season, head down to Denman Street for delicious food and drinks, local art, live music, and celebrate car-free culture.

PUMPKINS AFTER DARK

Saturday and Sunday 6:30 pm – 10 pm, Swanguard Stadium, Burnaby

Featuring over 6,000+ hand-carved pumpkins, watch as the pumpkins come to life during this nighttime family-friendly walk-through experience. A celebration of all things Halloween.

VISIT A PUMPKIN PATCH

Some of the area pumpkin patches are now open! Check out my guide to all the best pumpkin patches around (blog post linked in title above) to get an idea of what’s out there. The Scarecrow Stroll, the Aldor Acres Fall Pumpkin patch and the Fall Festival at Maan Farms are some of the pumpkin patches that are now open.

WORD VANCOUVER FESTIVAL: CHILDREN’S DAY

Saturday 10 am – 4 pm, Surrey Central Library

Join Word Vancouver Festival for a full day of free children’s programming, including author readings, Q&As, panels, and storytelling sessions, along with crafts and other activities.

OLDE HARVEST FAIR

Saturday 11 am – 3 pm, Historic Stewart Farm, Surrey

Take in some cider press and butter making demonstrations, play traditional games and visit the children’s craft station. While onsite, take a house tour, explore the grounds and grab a snack from the Little Devils Wood Fire Pizza food truck. There will also be a full line-up of live entertainment.

VISIT RIVERSIDE CRANBERRIES

Saturday 10 am and 1 pm, Riverside Cranberry Farm, Langley City

Visit Riverside Cranberries for a self-guided tour of the cranberry bog during the Fall harvest season. Buy fresh cranberries for Thanksgiving and for an add-on price you can put on hip waiters and do the cranberry bog plunge!

THE BIG PIRATE RUN

Sunday 8 am – 11 am, Garry Point Park, Richmond

This themed run offers a 5km/10km/15km AND *NEW* 21.1km (half marathon) Big Pirate Run/Walk (8:30/9am) along The West Dyke and Middle Arm Trail’s, as well as a 1-3km Little Pirate Run/Walk (10:00am) around scenic Garry Point Park. Run with your ship mates, enjoy door prize giveaways, vendors and more.

CIRCO OSORIO CIRCUS

Saturday and Sunday, shows at 3 pm, 5 pm and 7 pmTsawwassen Mills, Tsawwassen

A Las Vegas-based circus with shows in a giant big top. This unique circus was designed with the family audience in mind. Children and adults will be captivated as aerial artistry unfolds, motorcycles madness, acrobats defying the law of gravity inches from their seats.

RIVERFEST

Saturday and Sunday 10 am – 4 pm, Fraser River Discovery Centre, New Westminster

RiverFest is a free family-friendly festival coinciding with BC and World Rivers Day. This year, RiverFest features a variety of in-person and on-line activities hosted by the Discovery Centre.
