UBC APPLE FESTIVAL

Saturday & Sunday 11 am – 4 pm, UBC Botanical Garden

A family event for all ages, UBC Apple Festival celebrates one of BC’s favourite fruits. From learning about the diversity of apples to tasting rare and unusual varieties, Apple Festival is a great opportunity to discover more about this delicious fruit. Enjoy a children’s area, food, walks in the trees and more.

AMERICAN CROWN CIRCUS AND CIRCO OSORIO

Saturday & Sunday 3 pm, 5 pm & 7 pm, Lansdowne Centre, Richmond

This unique circus was designed with the family audience in mind. Children and adults will be captivated as aerial artistry unfolds, motorcycles madness, acrobats defying the law of gravity inches from their seats.

PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE

Saturday 9:30 am onwards, The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, Vanier Park

Join in front of the Space Centre at 9:30am to observe the partial solar eclipse. The Space Centre will have its portable solar scopes out, and ISO certified solar glasses will be available for safe viewing. Glasses available by donation and will be first-come, first-served. After the eclipse come inside and watch the 10:45am planetarium show called “The Sun”, and learn more about solar eclipses. Regular rates apply to shows.

CANYON FRIGHTS

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 8 pm, Capilano Suspension Bridge 

The spirits of the past come to life as they enjoy a Halloween gathering reminiscent of a Victorian ‘Fall Fair’. The Park, illuminated for the occasion, sets the perfect atmosphere as the festivities take an unexpected twist revealing a turn of ghostly events in the rainforest.

HARVEST DAYS

Saturday & Sunday 9 am – 4 pm , VanDusen Botanical Garden

Celebrate the fall season with the return of Harvest Days at VanDusen Botanical Garden. The veggie garden and maze area will be transformed for fall with fun photo areas, activities and entertainment, tasty treats, and more. Enjoy delicious snacks from a selection of tasty food vendors. Explore the garden’s autumn highlights afterwards, including sugar maples, ginkgo trees, bald cypress, and the stunning Autumn Stroll. A fall-inspired craft section will be set up for kids while live music plays.

FRIGHT NIGHTS

Saturday & Sunday 6 pm – 11 pm Playland, Vancouver

Playland once again will transform into a terrifying Halloween-themed experience with seven haunted houses, thrill rides, creepy décor, roaming monsters and live performances. Check out our new attractions including the new haunted house, The Void, and a revamped Carn-Evil experience! This one is for the older kids, not recommended for children under the age of 13.

PUMPKINS AFTER DARK

Saturday & Sunday 6:30 pm – 10 pmSwanguard Stadium and Central Park, Burnaby

Featuring over 10,000+ hand-carved pumpkins. Explore the magical pathway of lit pumpkin sculptures and displays, with music, sounds and special effects. With classic Halloween characters, dinosaurs and dragons, movie and pop culture icons. Adult tickets start at $18.95, Youth at $15.95. Children 3 and under are free.

ONCE UPON A HAUNTED SEA

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 5 pmGulf of Georgia Cannery, Steveston

The Haunted Sea returns to the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site. Once Upon a Haunted Sea is a fairy-tale reboot of our annual Halloween event. Encounter what lurks below the waves and is haunting our oceans and sea life. Drop-In anytime. Suitable for kids of all ages.
