GREY CUP FESTIVAL

Saturday 11 am – 9 pm, Downtown Vancouver

The Grey Cup is being hosted here in Vancouver this Sunday and there is fun going on all weekend long to celebrate! Check out the Save-On-Foods Street Festival at Canada Place Way featuring two hiplines, live entertainment, an outdoor mini field, food trucks and much more! There is also the free Telus Family Zone at Vancouver Conventions Centre East which has a mini football field, a kids’ combine, an inflatable obstacle course and more!

VANCOUVER CHRISTMAS MARKET

Saturday & Sunday 11 am – 10 pm, Jack Poole Plaza, Vancouver

The festive season kicks off with the first weekend of the Vancouver Christmas Market! Expect festive offerings with more than 80 huts stuffed with sweets, treats and treasures. Wander the market’s winding alleys and discover an array of authentic German delicacies: sizzling sausages, scrumptious schnitzel, two warming Glühwein (mulled wine) locations, old world confections, handcrafted gifts, and so much more!

PHOTOS WITH SANTA AND HOLIDAY TRAIN RIDES

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 6 pm, Lansdowne Centre, Richmond

Santa photos kick off this weekend at Lansdowne Centre. This year’s photos will take place inside a Gingerbread House! And the Holiday Train is back, take this little train around the mall, running 10 am – 6 pm.

Saturday & Sunday, Vancouver Aquarium

There’s no place like Vancouver Aquarium for the holidays! During Holiday Splash, Vancouver Aquarium transform into an enchanting winter water-land in the heart of Stanley Park, where the magic of the season comes alive. See Scuba Claus, Watch the Rudolph 4D Movie Experience, plus from now until November 24 you can get a free child admission with every adult admission!

BEAR CREEK LIGHTS

Saturday & Sunday 4:30 pm-9:30 pm, Bear Creek Park, 13750 88 Ave, Surrey

Bear Creek Park is one of the City’s most vibrant parks. Hidden within it is one of the lower mainland’s finest year-round show gardens which sets the stage for Bear Creek Lights. See nature shine with a series of beautiful light displays that will dazzle you with illuminated natural landscapes, whimsically lit creatures and stunning photo opportunities. Enjoy the safe, accessible, family-friendly light display through the park’s one-kilometer garden walking loop. Food trucks will be onsite nightly. Free admission. Entry every 30 minutes.

Saturday 2 pm and 8 pm, Sunday 2 pm, Pacific Theatre, Vancouver

For fans of Tolkein! Join Peter Carlone and Tim Carlson as they bring J.R.R. Tolkien’s rich tale of adventures, perils, and second breakfasts to life in this reimagined two-person staging that is certain to send the whole family trekking through Middle Earth.
