The Vancouver Christmas Market is one of the first holiday events to get its start this season. You must purchase an entry ticket and time to enjoy this market and then you can peruse lots of holiday shopping, enjoy German-style food and drinks, hop on the Christmas carousel, and take in the festive music, and lights.

BEAR CREEK LIGHTS
Saturday and Sunday 4:30-8:30pm, Bear Creek Park, Surrey
The City of Surrey invites you to experience the Light Festival in Bear Creek Park. Admire illuminated trees, dazzling displays, and sparkling lights throughout the garden. Stroll through an ever changing display of colour at this free family event. Enjoy a safe, accessible, family-friendly light display throughout the park’s one-kilometre garden walking loop. Food trucks will be available on select nights.
RIVER BASIN DAYS ORIENTEERING
Saturday 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm or 2 pm – 3 pm, Central Park, Burnaby
‘River Basin Days’ is a series of outdoor public programs hosted by the Fraser River Discovery Centre, geared towards families. Join this introduction to orienteering at Central Park in Burnaby! Orienteering involves navigating a course using a map and compass and finding your way from checkpoint to checkpoint without getting lost. In this one-hour workshop, you’ll gain a basic understanding of map reading and compass use, and practice your skills on a 1.25 km orienteering course.
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC’S BEYOND KING TUT
Saturday and Sunday, check available times, Vancouver Convention Centre
The National Geographic “Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience” is a cinematic, immersive exhibition that will take you on a journey to one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time. Innovative video projections and soundscapes transport visitors to Egypt, where they experience the country’s ancient wonders, meet the gods of the underworld, and join National Geographic Explorers who continue to study the mysteries of his tomb.
THE SOUND OF MUSIC
