Don’t miss the iconic Rotary May Day Parade! As one of the longest-running community parades in the Lower Mainland, the Rotary May Day Parade is a cherished tradition in downtown Port Coquitlam. Don’t miss the 8am pre-parade Pancake Breakfast at The Outlet with PoCo Scouts, and the party in the square which follows the parade running from 1 pm – 8:30 pm.

DAUGHTER OF THE INNER STARS

Featuring out-of-this-world original animations and music from award-winning conductor and composer Nicholas Buc, this concert is sure to ignite a passion for musical storytelling within your child. Daughter of the Inner Stars is the first episode of a brand new live orchestral film concert series for children aged 8-16.
SCIENCE RENDEZVOUS AND INTERNATIONAL ASTRONOMY DAY

Head to the SFU Burnaby campus for science activities, presentations, demonstrations, and a walking tour of the Trottier Observatory! This event is hosted with friends from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Vancouver in celebration of International Astronomy Day. Connect with university scientists and researchers, experience the magic of their scientific discoveries, and build your own breakthrough inventions that you can call your own! Come drop by anytime between 11:00am-3:30pm to engage with the science exhibitors, no need to register.

Science Rendezvous UBC for an exciting line up of hands-on activities, demos, and tours, happening from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. across various venues. All events are FREE although registration is required for some Chemistry demonstrations to prevent overcrowding. Festival-goers of all ages will get a chance to meet world-class researchers and innovators, participate in hands-on experiments, and see amazing scientific demonstrations on UBC’s Vancouver campus.
