CANYON LIGHTS

Saturday and Sunday 11 am – 9 pmCapilano Suspension Bridge Park

While a lot of the beautiful holiday events are done for the season, this is one that you can still enjoy for the month of January! If you haven’t had a chance to check out the gorgeous lights throughout the tree top Capilano Park, then this weekend could be a fabulous time to visit.

LIGHTS AT LAFARGE

This is one of the other holiday light experiences that is sticking around for a little longer. If you haven’t checked it out yet I highly recommend walking around LaFarge Lake. It is the Mainland’s largest free outdoor lights display.

Head out to UBC to watch some great volleyball action as the Thunderbirds host the University of Saskatchewan. The women play first at 5 pm, and the men’s game follows at 6:45. Kids get in free and adult tickets are $10.

GO SKATING OUTDOORS

Saturday and Sunday, Robson Square and the Shipyards

Now that the intense holiday crowds have died down this could be a great weekend to try out one of the Lower Mainland’s lovely, free outdoor skating rinks. There is Robson Square in Downtown Vancouver, and the Shipyards Rink in North Vancouver. There will also be live music at the Shipyards rink at 4:30 pm on Saturday.
