JAPANESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS

Saturday 10 am – 3 pm, Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre, Burnaby

Join for a day of fun activities and games to celebrate the Japanese New Year. Discover traditional customs, learn new skills, and enjoy delicious treats.

VAN DUSEN FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Saturday & Sunday 4 pm – 10 pm, Van Dusen Gardens

It is the final weekend to enjoy Van Dusen’s Festival of Lights! You can expect to see one million lights decorating 15 acres of VanDusen Botanical Garden. There are themed areas, tasty treats, unique light features, and holiday music.

MARTINI TOWN MERRY AND BRIGHT

Saturday & Sunday, 1123 272 Street, Langley

It’s the final weekend to feel like you just walked into a Hallmark movie. Langley’s Martini Studios is open for locals and visitors who love stepping into the nostalgic world of charming Christmas movies. Walk around old-school storefronts, restaurant facades, brownstone townhouses and even a grand, column-fronted courthouse. This working movie backlot has been fully transformed into a sparkling walk-through festive attraction There is live music, an artisan craft market and lots of tasty food and drink options.

DUNDARAVE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Saturday & Sunday, from Grosvenor Ambleside Galleria to Dundarave Beach

Your last chance to head to the West Van waterfront to check out more than 150 outdoor Christmas trees (The Forest of Miracles), each fully illuminated for the season by local groups, families, schools and businesses.

LIGHTS AT LAFARGE

Saturday & Sunday, LaFarge Lake, Town Centre Park, Coquitlam

This event is one that will keep running for another month or so. Coquitlam’s free, and stunning outdoor light display returns to Town Centre Park.  It is a great place to go walking around the lake and checking out all of the beautiful lights. It is stroller friendly.

CANYON LIGHTS

Saturday & Sunday, Capilano Suspension Bridge, North Vancouver

This is another holiday attraction that will run for another few weeks. Capilano Suspension Bridge’s beautiful Canyon Lights is well worth the visit. Journey into the rainforest and walk high above the forest floor between the eight tallest Christmas trees in the world on Treetops Adventure. And the gorgeous “Arc de Lumina” light tunnel will once again wrap its way along a portion of Cliffwalk.

KNOTTED: RAPUNZEL’S STORY

Saturday 2 pm and 6:30 pm, Sunday at 2 pm, Massey Theatre, New Westminster

Traditional British Panto at it’s rambunctious best! Sparkling, magical, family fun awaits when you join our wacky cast! Come and sing along with toe-tapping music, groan at corny jokes, cheer the good guys and boo the bad in another hilariously funny show with sparkling sets and colourful costumes

CINDERELLA PANTOMIME

Saturday 2 pm & 7 pm, Sunday 2 pm, The Metro Theatre, Vancouver

This fairytale family favourite is sure to please young and old, prince and princess alike with exciting musical numbers, games, and laughs galore.

LIONEL BART’S OLIVER

Saturday 7:30 pm, Gateway Theatre, Richmond

Step into the heart of Victorian England with Lionel Bart’s timeless musical masterpiece, Oliver! Based on Charles Dickens’ beloved novel Oliver Twist, this Tony and Olivier award-winning show has enchanted audiences for decades.

LIGHTS TO THE LODGE

Saturday and Sunday, Cypress Mountain

Enjoy the beautiful snowy snowshoe trek to Hollyburn Lodge, only 1.5km along our self guided snowshoe trail! The Light to the Lodge loop is lit with LED lights strung sustainably through the forest boughs of ancient Cedar, Fir and Hemlock trees.
