BEAR CREEK LIGHTS

Saturday & Sunday 4:30 pm-9:30 pm, Bear Creek Park, 13750 88 Ave, Surrey

Bear Creek Park is one of the City’s most vibrant parks. Hidden within it is one of the lower mainland’s finest year-round show gardens which sets the stage for Bear Creek Lights. See nature shine with a series of beautiful light displays that will dazzle you with illuminated natural landscapes, whimsically lit creatures and stunning photo opportunities. Enjoy the safe, accessible, family-friendly light display through the park’s one-kilometer garden walking loop. Food trucks will be onsite nightly. Free admission. Entry every 30 minutes.

FALL FESTIVAL AT MAAN FARMS

Saturday & Sunday 9 am – 6 pm, Maan Farms & Estate Winery, 790 McKenzie Rd, Abbotsford

It’s the final weekend for fall fun at Maan Farms. Enjoy the corn maze, barnyard adventureland, jumping pillow, zipline climbing wall and more plus all the yummy fall treats!

UBC BASKETBALL HOME OPENER

Saturday 4 pm, War Memorial Gym, UBC

The UBC Women’s and Men’s Basketball kick off their seasons on home court this weekend. Watch them take on Trinity Western University. Women play at 4 pm, Men at 6 pm.

VANCOUVER TRAIN EXPO

Saturday 10 am – 6 pm & Sunday 10 am – 5 pm, PNE Forum

This giant model train exhibition takes place all weekend long at the PNE Forum. It’s the biggest event of its kind anywhere in the province.

DAY OF THE DEAD LATIN MARKET

Saturday & Sunday 11 am – 8 pm, 1500 Old Bridge St at Granville Island 

At the Day of the Dead market, you can expect Latin traditions, culinary delights, live music and workshops for the whole family.

MOVIE NIGHT WITH THE VSO: STAR WARS THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK

Saturday 7 pm, The Orpheum

The battle for the galaxy intensifies in this thrilling fifth episode of the Star Wars saga. Watch the Empire Strikes Back with the soundtrack performed by a live orchestra.

DAYLIGHT SAVINGS DAY
