HYACK INTERNATIONAL PARADE AND FESTIVAL

Saturday 11 am – 4 pm, Tipperary Park, New Westminster

The annual Hyack International Parade is BC’s largest family-oriented parade with over 120 entries from throughout BC, Washington, and Oregon. After the parade stay to enjoy the festival in Tipperary Park.  The Hyack Festival turns Tipperary Park into a hub of free entertainment, music and activities for people of all ages, while supporting local Vendors, Food Trucks and other Artisan Creators to display and sell their creations.​ Families can drop by for free face-painting, crafts, games and free musical entertainment.

LADNER MAY DAYS

Saturday & Sunday, activities starting at 8 am, Memorial Park, Delta 

The Ladner May Days Fair is one of British Columbia’s largest free family fairs, featuring live bands, free entertainment, a market, carnival rides, and a beer garden for the adults. The Sunday activities kick-off with a pancake breakfast followed at noon by the May Days Parade (theme this year is superheroes and villains) featuring the May Royal Court float.

DAY OUT WITH THOMAS

Saturday & Sunday 9:30 am – 4 pm, The Railway Museum of British Columbia, Squamish

Join Thomas the Tank Engine for a day full of colorful adventures! All aboard an interactive train ride with Thomas to earn your Color Badge, say Hello to Sir Topham Hatt and get creative exploring the Color Corner.
For the little engineers who want a little more excitement, mix it up in the Play Pod with outdoor games, enjoy live entertainment, check out the pop-up Gift Shop for Thomas toys, swag, and more!

ICS MAYFAIR

Saturday 11 am – 2 pm, 3778 W.28th, Vancouver

This is a lovely neighbourhood event outside of Immaculate Conception Parish Vancouver where everyone is welcome to come by and enjoy a bbq and beer garden, high tea room, children’s games and crafts and live music.

THE BIG JUNGLE RUN

Saturday 12 pm, Burnaby Lake Park

This themed run offers a 5km/10km Run/Walk (2pm) as well as a 1km Kids Run/Walk (1pm) around scenic Burnaby Lake Park.
Explore the trails, enjoy a DJ, prize giveaways and more. Suitable for everyone!

SPOT PRAWN FESTIVAL

Saturday 11 am – 3 pm, False Creek Fisherman’s Wharf Vancouver

A family-friendly festival with live cooking demos with some of Vancouver’s top chefs! Fun for the kids! Live music! And more!

COMO LAKE FAMILY FISHING DERBY

Sunday 6 am – 12 pm, Como Lake, Coquitlam

A free event for youth under 16 years of age, the Como Lake Fishing Derby has prize giveaways and a pancake breakfast available for a nominal charge. Hundreds of prizes are awarded each year for a variety of catches, from the largest and smallest fish to the strangest catch of the day. Bring your own fishing rod and bait.

BC POLISH FESTIVAL

Sunday 1 pm – 9 pm, Port Coquitlam Recreation Center Plaza

The entire event is free and has an abundance of entertaining performances, great food, polish beer and fun for all ages. There will be plenty of delicious food such as pierogies, barbequed sausages, hunter’s stew, potato pancakes, ham hocks and famous Polish cakes & pastries.

PNE PLAYLAND

Saturday & Sunday, PNE Fairgrounds, Vancouver

Enjoy exhilarating rides, midway games, unique attractions such as the Haunted Mansion and Sweet Escape Mini Golf, delicious food options, and exciting special events. Note the new launch coaster, ThunderVolt, doesn’t open until July.
