ABBOTSFORD TULIP FESTIVAL
Saturday & Sunday 8 am – dark, Lakeland Flowers, 39171 No 4 Road, Abbotsford
It is the first weekend for the tulip festivals – Spring is here! Lakeland Flowers is sharing a time-honoured Dutch tradition spanning 27 acres in the heart of the Fraser Valley. With 5 kms of tulip-lined pathways, you will have the opportunity to walk among 70+ varieties of tulips, blooming in all different colours, shapes, and sizes.
CHILLIWACK PLOWING MATCH
Saturday 9 am – 3 pm, Greendale Acres Farm, Chilliwack
This special family friendly event will be a good old fashioned day on the farm. The 102nd Chilliwack Plowing Match will draw plowmen from a wide area across BC who bring a mix of modern and vintage equipment to compete in different classes and put their skills against one another. Judges will score plowmen on crown, straightness and firmness just to name a few. Admission also gives you access to all of the family fun at Greendale Acres!
RICHMOND CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL
Sunday 11 am – 4 pm, Garry Point Park, Richmond
a free event at Garry Point Park near Steveston Village. Activities include Japanese dancing, Taiko drumming, kite flying and other cultural activities and entertainment.
RICHMOND CARNIVAL
Saturday & Sunday 12 pm – 10 pm, Lansdowne Centre, Richmond
West Coast Amusements has rides for all ages and all levels of riding. There are over 100 rides to choose from, and your all-day wristband will let you ride all of them (if you can).
KIDS FIRST
Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 4 pm, Polygon Gallery, North Vancouver
Come get creative on the first Saturday and Sunday of the month with a day of art-making and fun. Kids First is an opportunity for families of all kinds to create an in-house art project, based on the exhibitions being shown in the Gallery. The projects are geared towards children ranging in age from 5 to 12 years old, though there is no age requirement to participate.
SURREY SLAM JAM
Saturday 12 pm – 8 pm, Guildford Recreation Centre, Surrey

HAIRSPRAY
