STEVESTON SANTA CLAUS PARADE
Sunday 6 pm – 8 pm, Fourth Avenue and Regent Street to Seventh avenue near Garry Point Park
The annual tradition of Santa and his Friends bringing festive joy to the Steveston Village. Food and monetary donations for the Richmond Food Bank and the Richmond firefighters charitable fund accepted.
WINTER DISCOVERY DAYS
Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 4 pm, Fraser River Discovery Centre, New Westminster
Come celebrate the season of winter and the FRDC. Peek into the hidden happenings of winter where some species slow down and others are hard at work.
JINGLE BELLS NIGHT
Saturday, Lafarge Lake, Coquitlam
This annual free event is set to return with carollers filling Town Centre Park for a seasonal sing-a-long, complete with roving mascots, reindeer games and a special photo with Santa. Coquitlam is actually looking to break a world record hosting Jingle Bells Night, the world-record attempt starts at 7 pm, so come and join in and sing. Bring along your jingle bells!
LIGHT UP THE NIGHT FAMILY SKATE
Saturday 6:30 – 8:30 pm, Moody Park Arena, New Westminster
Come out and enjoy a bright evening of family fun! The arena will be all lit up for an evening of games, crafts and fun. There will be a photo booth onsite providing a souvenir photo and some special treats available at the concession. Pre registration required.
SKATE WITH SANTA
Saturday 10:30 am – 12 pm, Harry Jerome Recreation Centre, North Vancouver
Bring the family to skate with Santa. Admission is just $3.47 per person and includes skate and helmet rentals, a delicious cup of hot chocolate and holiday crafting in the lobby.
ANNUAL WINTER ICE PALACE
Saturday & Sunday, skate session times all day, Cloverdale Arena, Surrey
Cloverdale Arena is transformed into a winter wonderland with festive lights, decorations and music and on the 23rd it’s a skate with Santa!
JEWISH FAMILY SKATE
Sunday 3 pm – 5 pm, Trout Lake Community Centre
Join the Jewish community for an awesome skating party. Skate to Jewish music, enjoy kosher snacks and have fun on the ice!
THE WIZARD OF OZ
Saturday 1:30 and 4 pm, Deep Cove Stage, North Vancouver
A modern take on the classic L. Frank Baum story infused with jokes, songs and pantomime traditions.
ROBSON SQUARE SKATING – 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS
Saturday 9 am – 9 pm & Sunday 9 am – 5 pm, Robson Square, 800 Robson St, Vancouver
This free skating rink is open all weekend long and there will be live entertainment on site. On Saturday The Showstoppers will be performing 2:30 pm – 4:15 pm and DJ El Nino is spinning from 6 pm – 9 pm. On Sunday, Christmas Eve, Karla Sax will be performing from 2:30 pm – 4:15 p, and Phat Santa Swing will be on from 6 pm – 9 pm. Skating will stop at 5 pm on Christmas Eve.
WASSAIL & BONFIRE NIGHT
Saturday 3 pm – 8 pm, Dundarave Beach Park, West Vancouver
Part of the Dundarave Festival of Lights, expect a bonfire lighting a dusk. Plus live entertainment, carolling and Santa arriving by boat!
