NEW YEAR’S EVE FIREWORKS

Sunday 8 pm – 11 pm, Grouse Mountain

Celebrate the new year at The Peak of Vancouver! End the year on the slopes, take a stroll through our magical outdoor Light Walk, or watch the spectacular fireworks display at the Skating Pond.

NEW YEARS EVE VARIETY SHOW

Sunday 8 pm – 9:15 pm, Vancouver Playhouse

Vancouver’s family-friendly New Year’s Eve tradition. It all starts early at 8:00 pm, leaving you enough time to get home to bed with the little ones or continue the festivities elsewhere to ring in 2024. The show is fun for all ages, but not just for kids!

NEW YEAR AT NOON

Sunday 10 am – 1 pm, Museum of North Vancouver (Monova)

Explore how some people around the world celebrate January 1st as a fresh start, enjoy kid-friendly snacks and fizzy drinks, and have fun playing games and crafts while sharing your hopes for a New Year.

SHIPYARDS FAMILY NYE PARTY

Sunday 5 pm – 8 pm, Shipyards Skating Plaza, North Vancouver

Lace up those skates because we’re turning the Skate Plaza into a winter wonderland for the most spectacular New Year’s Eve DJ and Kiddies Ball Drop !

ROBSON SQUARE SKATING – 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

Saturday-Monday 9 am – 9 pm, Robson Square Rink, Downtown Vancouver

Robson Square’s outdoor skating rink is open, so celebrate winter in style with free skating in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Live entertainment on NYE Dec 31 from 6 pm to 9 pm with the DuoTones performing.

NEW YEAR’S EVE SKATE WINTER WONDERLAND

Sunday 10 am – 4 pm, Minoru Arena, Richmond

The perfect place for a holiday skate is Winter Wonderland at Minoru Arenas! Set under a canopy of twinkly lights with festive music, bring your family and friends to this annual winter time activity

NEW YEAR’S EVE SKATE – WINTER IN THE CITY

Sunday, various times, Port Coquitlam Community Centre

Grab your skates, get on the ice, and enjoy the holiday spirit with festive skates at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre.

POLAR BEAR SWIM

Monday 12 pm – 4 pm, English Bay, Vancouver

On Jan 1st jump into 2024 with a splash and take an invigorating dip in English Bay. Enjoy live musical entertainment, food trucks and more beginning at 12:00pm.

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

All weekend, Van Dusen Gardens

If you haven’t yet visited the Festival of Lights, there is still time this weekend! You can expect to see one million lights decorating 15 acres of Van Dusen Botanical Garden. There are themed areas, tasty treats, unique light features, and holiday music.

CANYON LIGHTS

All weekend, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

This is another gorgeous event worth visiting as you ring in the new year. Visit the world-famous suspension bridge all lit up, and climbing among the Treetop Adventure.

HERITAGE CHRISTMAS

All weekend long, Burnaby Village Museum

At Heritage Christmas you can wander the village and experience a special atmosphere of festive lights, and the traditional decorations. There will also be seasonal entertainment, demonstrations and activities. This is the final weekend to visit Heritage Christmas!

LIGHTS AT LAFARGE

All weekend long, LaFarge Lake, Coquitlam

This is Coquitlam’s free, and stunning outdoor light display around LaFarge Lake. It is a wonderful and festive walk. It is stroller friendly, and the distance is not too long so its very doable for young kids.
