Over three full days of thrilling rugby action and fancy dress, 12 women’s teams and 12 men’s teams, including Canada’s Paris 2024 Olympic silver medal winning Women’s Sevens Team, will compete for the title of HSBC SVNS Vancouver champion.
UBC BASKETBALL PLAYOFFS
Saturday 4 pm & 6 pm, War Memorial Gym, UBC
The UBC Women and Men are competing in the Canada West quarterfinals. Head to War Memorial Gym for some extra exciting basketball, women playing at 4 pm and the men at 8 pm. Tickets for kids 12 and under are free! And the UBC men’s hockey team is also competing in playoffs, their game goes 7 pm on Saturday at Doug Mitchell Arena.
BRAZILIAN CARNAVAL FAMILY
Saturday 12 pm – 5 pm, Latin Plaza Hub, 68 Water Street, Vancouver
Get ready for a day full of fun, music, and culture at Feel the Rhythm, Embrace the Beat: Brazilian Carnaval! This vibrant event is the perfect way for kids and parents to come together and celebrate the lively spirit of Brazil with their community. Event includes capoeira martial arts, a train ride, dance station, face painting and costumes.
SUPER WEEKEND: BLUSTERY FRASER CANYON

Super Weekend is a series of public programs geared toward families. There are lots of activities that explore different features of the Fraser River, from its booming industry to its diverse ecosystem! On February 22nd – 23rd explore how the unique geography of the Fraser Canyon shapes the weather patterns of the Lower Mainland through engaging science demonstrations, storytime and hands-on crafts!

Saturday – Monday 10 am – 8 pm, Capilano Suspension Bridge
This is the final weekend to enjoy the love-inspired light make-over at Capilano Suspension Bridge. Walk through the park as it shimmers with millions of twinkling lights, enjoy great photo-perfect moments, live music and yummy treats too.
