HARVEST DAYS

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 4 pm, Van Dusen Gardens

Celebrate the fall season with the return of Harvest Days at VanDusen Botanical Garden. Our veggie garden and maze area will be transformed for autumn, featuring fun photo areas, seasonal activities and entertainment, tasty treats, and more. Explore the garden’s autumn highlights afterwards, including sugar maples, ginkgo trees, bald cypress, and the stunning Autumn Stroll.

PORT DAY

Saturday 12 pm – 5 pm, Canada Place, Vancouver

This sea-sational annual event celebrates and showcases our vibrant local maritime community with live music and performances on stage, an interactive Waterfront Community Zone, captivating on-water demonstrations, maritime simulators and exhibits, the return of the Maritime Career Zone, and—new for 2025—a lively Family Zone packed with sea-worthy fun for all ages!

RIVER FEST

Saturday & Sunday, Fraser River Discovery Centre, New Westminster

Proudly presented by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, representing the Port of Vancouver, this beloved community event is a FREE, family-friendly celebration of the living, working Fraser River. RiverFest offers a dynamic mix of exhibits, live performances, exhibitor expo and artisan market, the Lucille Johnstone Workboat Parade, and many fun activities for all ages.

RIDGE MEADOWS RIVERS DAY

Sunday 10:30 am – 2:00 pm, ALLCO Park, Maple Ridge

Over 25 environmental exhibitors, hotdog & hamburger lunch by donation provided by the Maple Ridge Lions Club, free salmon sugar cookies for the first 100 people, face painting by Sea Star Faces, Click & Clown with biodegradable balloon animals, the Taa Daa Lady with the Nylon Zoo, West Coast Exotics with a ton of reptiles, live music entertainment by the Backroad Cruisers and Lisa Rae, story time with snakes by local author Tiffany Stone, carnival games and more!

ONCE UPON A HAUNTED SEA

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 5 pm, Gulf of Georgia Cannery, Richmond

The historic cannery in Steveston celebrates Halloween with a month-long installation of The Haunted Sea. Encounter what lurks below the waves and is haunting our oceans and sea life. Explore the many layers of the ocean in the magically transformed Herring Reduction Plant, and discover colourful undersea decor created from upcycled materials kept from haunting the real ocean depths. Drop-in any time to explore at your leisure. Suitable for kids of all ages.

SCARECROW STROLL

Saturday & Sunday 9 am – 6 pm, Art’s Nursery, 8940 192 St, Surrey

Stroll through 60+ handcrafted scarecrow displays, from timeless spooky classics to crowd favorites like Cruella, the Peanuts Gang, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Alice in Wonderland. Along the way, enjoy a Pop-Up Pumpkin Patch, cozy seasonal displays, scavenger hunts, and plenty of photo opportunities to capture the memories. Every weekend brings something new, with live music and rotating food trucks filling the air with flavor and festivity.

FIN-TASTIC FALL DAYS

September & Sunday 10 am – 5 pm, The Vancouver Aquarium

At the Vancouver Aquarium’s Fin-tastic Fall Days, families can make cozy autumn memories surrounded by 65,000 incredible animals—from otters to octopuses. Discover every twist and turn of our kelp maze, brave a creepy-crawly 4D movie adventure, join fang-tastic bat talks and scavenger hunts, and soak in the seasonal sights—all part of a fall seal-ebration your family will never forget.

CRANBERRY PLUNGE AND CRANBERRY HARVEST FARM TOUR

Saturday 10 am – 4:30 pm, Riverside Cranberry Farm, Langley City

Visit Riverside Cranberries for a self-guided tour of the cranberry bog during the Fall harvest season. Follow the self guided audio tour around the farm using the QR Code system and your mobile phone. Stop and read the informational displays to learn about the interesting facts about cranberry farming. Kids can do the farm scavenger hunt connected with the audio tour. You can also pay for an additional add-on to do the Cranberry Plunge.

MUSICAL MAGIC: DISNEY EDITION

Sunday 3 pm, Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, Vancouver

Six talented vocalists perform beloved Disney songs from movies like Frozen, Aladdin, and Moana in this family-friendly concert event with audience sing-alongs and costumes.

AMERICAN CROWN CIRCUS

Saturday & Sunday multiple showtimes, Tsawwassen Mills

An International Showcase of Talent from Mexico, Belarus, Russia, Argentina, Romania and the US, the American Crown Circus & Circo Osorio heads to Canada to spread some “Big Top Magic” throughout the Canada Tour. This unique circus was designed with the family audience in mind. Children and adults will be captivated as aerial artistry unfolds, motorcycles madness, acrobats defying the law of gravity inches from their seats.
