MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU: FAMILY NIGHT
Saturday 6 pm – 10 pm, the H.R Macmillan Space Centre
Come dressed as your favourite Rebel or Empire character and meet several members of Vancouver’s 501st Legion Outer Rim Garrison. Don’t miss out on an amazing photo-op with some of your favourite characters in costume! Travel to galaxies far, far away during a galactic show in the planetarium. The renowned Arbutus Duo, featuring musician Thomas Beckman, will perform a brand new repertoire based on iconic pieces from the movie franchise. In between songs learn about the latest news on the Artemis mission to the Moon, exoplanet discoveries and more! There will also be time to enjoy a live science show and hands-on activities in our Cosmic Courtyard gallery.
MAY DAYS IN PORT COQUITLAM

Amazing music, free rides for the kids, inflatables, games, food trucks, kids bike race, parade and more! The festival officially kicks off with the May Day Opening Ceremony on May 5 at the Port Coquitlam Community Centre, featuring Maypole dancing by local children, dance performances and the presentation of the 2024 May Day Royal Party. FINGERLING FESTIVAL
Saturday 11 am – 3 pm, Noons Creek Hatchery and Port Moody Recreation Centre
The releasing of approximately 40,000 young chum salmon from the hatchery into Noons Creek for their four-year journey in the Pacific Ocean. Buckets are donated and are provided free of charge each year so that all members of our community can get involved. Plus enjoy exhibitors, live entertainment like Bobs and Lolo and great food.
KIDS FIRST
Saturday & Sunday 10 am -4 pm, Polygon Gallery, North Vancouver
Come get creative on the first Saturday and Sunday of the month with a day of art-making and fun. Kids First is an opportunity for families of all kinds to create an in-house art project, based on the exhibitions being shown in the Gallery. The projects are geared towards children ranging in age from 5 to 12 years old.
ROYAL CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL CIRCUS

Jurassic Quest is America’s largest and most realistic Dinosaur event. Guests will walk through the Cretaceous period, the Jurassic Period and The Triassic period and experience for themselves what it was like to be among living, breathing dinosaurs.
THE INCREDIBLE ADVENTURES OF MARY JANE MOSQUITO

An all-ages musical cabaret by Cree playwright and musician Tomson Highway, The Incredible Adventures of Mary Jane Mosquito follows a misfit mosquito without wings trying to find her place in the world. Through her adventures, she finds her voice by sharing her Cree language, her kind heart and her songs with the world. A Kaleidoscope Theatre for Young People Production.
STAR WARS DRESS UP DAY AT GREENDALE ACRES

A family-friendly spring flower festival with baby farm animals and tons of activities for children in Chilliwack and on May the 4th Be With You celebrate a fun dress up day! All guests who dress up will receive a free kids scoop ice cream cone.
HERITAGE RAIL ADVENTURE AT SURREY’S HERITAGE RAIL

Opening Ceremonies start Saturday at 9:20 with the Surrey Firefighters Pipe and Drum Band. Enjoy live entertainment and the first train leaves the station at 10 am.
