CELTICFEST

Saturday 10 am – 10 pm, 750 Hornby Street, Vancouver

Enjoy the all-day St Patrick’s Day festival in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The free, all-ages, community festival offers live music, performance, a beer tent, food trucks, Irish dancing, a Celtic-themed market, games, Irish Wolfhounds, a family zone, face painting, sports demonstrations and more.

HOPPY HEIGHTS

Saturday & Sunday 9 am – 6 pm, Capilano Suspension Bridge

Hop on over to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park for egg-citing Spring Break adventures. The Park will be decorated for spring and will host special Easter-themed activities, presenting you and your family with the perfect way to enjoy the start of spring.

BEAR CREEK PARK EASTER TRAIN

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 6 pm, Bear Creek Park, Surrey

Enjoy a train ride through the forest with full blown Easter Decor. Train will go around the forest and stop where the Easter egg hunt and fun begins. Egg Hunt, Arts & Crafts, Petting Zoo and much more!

DISNEY IN CONCERT: THE SOUND OF MAGIC

Saturday 7 pm & Sunday 2 pm, The Orpheum

Performed live by the VSO, this new concert takes you on a magic carpet ride through the most memorable song, score and movie moments of the first 100 years of The Walt Disney Company, including Peter Pan, Moana, Aladdin, The Jungle Book, Frozen, The Lion King, Fantasia, Encanto, Disney Parks classics, and more.

SPRING DISCOVERY DAYS

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 4 pm, Fraser River Discovery Centre

Follow salmon throughout their lives at stations throughout the building to get to know these famous fish and the many challenges they face throughout their lives. Visit all the stations and submit your “fish-port” to be entered to win a salmon-themed prize pack! Splash into self-guided activities throughout the building, a facilitated activity from 10 am-12 pm, and storytime from 1pm -3pm.

SPRING BREAK SALMON RUN

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 5 pm, The Gulf of Georgia Cannery, Steveston 

Every year, Pacific salmon brave the challenges of the West Coast’s waters to return to the homes where they were born, where they will lay eggs of their own and restart the salmon lifecycle. For a limited time only, take the place of the salmon and complete your own journey up and down the Cannery, facing series of salmon-themed activities, and return triumphant to your home stream! Visitors who complete all of the Cannery’s challenges will receive an exclusive prize connected to the theme of the salmon lifecycle.

CELEBRATING NOWRUZ

Saturday 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm, H.R Macmillan Space Centre

Bring in the Persian New Year and welcome Spring at our Nowruz celebration. Learn more about Persian cultural and scientific perspectives on the night sky and participate in fun activities with the family. Enjoy refreshments, live music, dance, live science demonstrations, and a presentation on the history of Nowruz in the Planetarium Star Theatre.
