ITALIAN DAY ON THE DRIVE

Sunday 12 pm – 8 pm, Commercial Drive, Vancouver

Italian Day on The Drive is a vibrant cultural street festival celebrating Italian culture, heritage and respective immigrant contributions in Vancouver. Commercial Drive transforms the street into a lively 17 block, vehicle free, celebration and community fiesta.

TEDDY BEAR CHILDREN’S CONCERT AND PICNIC

Saturday 3 pm – 5 pm and Sunday 11 am – 4 pm, Towne Centre Park, Coquitlam

The annual Teddy Bear Picnic at Towne Centre Park with booths, roving artists, face painters, demos and more! Bring your teddies for this epic picnic in the park after the parade. Headliners include: The Mom Bop Band, Music with Marnie, Mr I and the Rainbow Singers and The Great Gordini!

OPENING WEEKEND FOR THE CYPRESS MOUNTAIN EAGLE COASTER

Saturday & Sunday, Cypress Mountain

This incredibly fun ride opens for the season this weekend! I have blogged about this one before, you can read it here. But it is a 1.7 km long ride down the mountain top. Fun for kids and adults. You must book your tickets and time ahead of time.

WORLD OCEAN’S DAY AT VANCOUVER MARITIME MUSEUM

Saturday 10 am – 2 pm, Vancouver Maritime Museum

The Vancouver Maritime Museum, in partnership with Canoe Cultures, is hosting an extraordinary, free outdoor event that promises an enlightening blend of tradition, education, and fun. Immerse yourself in the enduring legacy of the Coast Salish peoples through engaging experiences that connect us all more deeply with our marine environment. Dive into the day with captivating canoe demonstrations, showcasing the artistry and skill that have navigated the waters of this region for centuries. Learn about traditional Coast Salish medicine and food, understanding the natural bounty that the ocean offers and the wisdom in its use.

DOORS OPEN RICHMOND

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 4 pm, Richmond Museum, 7700 Minoru Gate, Richmond

The Richmond Museum presents the 17th annual Doors Open Richmond. This year’s edition features more than 40 unique sites representing the city’s cultural diversity and rich heritage. Visitors can go behind-the-scenes at each organization or business, through tours and hands-on activities.

FAIR IN THE SQUARE

Sunday 11 am – 2 pm, Victory Square Park, Gastown, Vancouver

The 16th annual Fair in the Square brings together people from various parts of the city to connect with our inner city neighbours and with the non-profit agencies that are doing amazing work in the community, as well as to enjoy some great live music and entertainment, arts and crafts, an artisan market and free BBQ, cupcakes, watermelon and coffee.

JAPAN MARKET SUMMER FESTIVAL

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 6 pm, outside Vancouver Art Gallery 

Come and enjoy some yummy Japanese food, shop for unique Japanese style crafts and merchandise from over 70 vendors. Entertainment includes TATE sword performance collaboration with Taiko by Nori, Appare Yosakoi energetic dance, Okinawa Taiko and martial arts demonstrations.

CAR FREE DAY SURREY

Saturday 12 pm – 7 pm, 137th Street from 72A Avenue to 74th Avenue, Surrey

Head to 137th Street to see the street transformed into a pedestrian paradise with multiple stages, artisan vendors, local merchants, and family-friendly fun!

LANGLEY COMMUNITY DAYS

Saturday 11 am – 7 pm, Douglas Park, Langley

A fun filled day of food, music, shopping & more! There will be plenty of food trucks, artisan makers, entertainers and more, there is something to do for the whole family.
