The 92nd British Columbia Highland Games takes this weekend with the world famous heavy events, Highland piping and dancing, live Celtic music and fun at this family-friendly event.
MAPLE GROVE POOL OPENS

This outdoor Vancouver pool is a favourite of ours, and it opens this weekend for the summer! Maple Grove Pool is a heated, shallow pool that is great for all ages.
STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL
Saturday 1 pm – 4 pm, Barclay Heritage Square, 1477 Barclay Ave Vancouver
This festival in Vancouver’s West End is open to everyone. Enjoy live music all day with The Fabulous Fera Brothers, the RetroNutz, The Barclay Bards, The Heritage Harmonies, Cuneyt Tirmandi, and the WESN Ukulele group. Fresh Strawberry shortcakes for only $7 each, and get a chance to win incredible door prizes!

This is a community event for all ages with live entertainment, a kids zone, good food and more.
CAP MALL FOODIE FEST
Saturday & Sunday 11 am – 4 pm, Capilano Mall, North Vancouver
a free event with food vendors, an artisanal market, face painting, balloon twisters, a food-meets-science show and other family-friendly activities at the shopping centre in North Vancouver. The live music today is with Nikita Afonso and Scott Crompton.
BUTTERFLY RELEASE AT TAVES FAMILY FARMS
Saturday 10:30 am – 4 pm, Taves Family Farm, Abbotsford
Celebrate renewal at the annual Butterfly Release Celebration! The concept behind this release is to honour someone who is no longer with you, to celebrate a special occasion, or simply to renew your soul with hope and love. The butterfly symbolizes transformation. You can release your butterfly at home or at our farm. FATHER’S DAY AT THE FARM

Enjoy Father’s Day at the Historic Stewart Farm. The Greater Vancouver Garden Railway Club will also be onsite with a large-scale model railway display on the lawn.
BC’S FAMILY FISHING WEEKEND
During BC’s Family Fishing Weekend free fishing events for anglers and families are held around the province. This is your opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors with loved ones (the weekend coincides with Father’s Day!) and learn the joys of fishing. In addition, Canadian residents can fish licence-free for the entire three days.
