KHATSALANO STREET PARTY

Saturday 11 am – 9 pm, Burrard to MacDonald St, West 4th Ave, Vancouver

Khatsahlano Street Party returns for its 12th year on West 4th Ave, between Burrard and MacDonald, for an action-packed day of music, activities, shopping, food, and fun

CARNAVAL DEL SOL 2024

Saturday & Sunday 12 pm – 11 pm, Jonathan Rogers Park, West 7th, Vancouver

This year, the different plazas will honor a different Latin American country and the connection between its indigenous people and the First Nations in Canada. In this way, the attendees can enjoy music, dance, heritage, and gastronomy represented by different countries. Kids under 12 get in free.

GREEK SUMMERFEST

Saturday & Sunday 11 am – late, 4641 Boundary Road, Vancouver

This year’s community fundraiser brings back stage entertainment featuring local bands and cultural performances. Celebrate great Greek food with Vancouver’s expansive and diverse community! Indulge in all your favorites: loukoumades (Greek donuts), souvlaki, BBQ lamb, spanakopita, take a piece of Greece home with you.

HASTINGS COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION 90TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT

Sunday 10 am – 2 pm, Hastings Community Centre

A fun-filled, family-friendly day featuring live performances, delicious food, face painting, caricatures, bouncy castles, and a mini rock, mineral, and jewelry show/sale. The event is free and perfect for all ages!

ROCKIN IN THE PARK

Saturday 11 am – 2 pm, Coal Harbour Park, Vancouver

A free, family-friendly event with musical performances, bouncy castle, games & activities, arts & crafts, face painting, balloon artist, youth BBQ fund raiser, program demonstrations & community booths

NEW COASTER AT PLAYLAND

Saturday, PNE Playland

The brand new Thunderbolt Coaster opens for the first time this weekend! The ThunderVolt experience carries 12 passengers at a time through a supernatural environment with extraordinary animals, graphics and lighting that pulses as the ride system charges, leading up to its launch. The three-car train blasts off with 1.3 Gs of acceleration through an illuminated tunnel, up a steep incline before an 18-meter drop.

KITSILANO SHOWBOAT SUMMER CONCERTS

Saturday & Sunday 7 pm, Kitsilano Showboat Stage, Kits Beach

Enjoy free outdoor summer concerts and multicultural performances on weekend evenings during the summer. This Saturday enjoy The Band of the 15th Field Regiment and Purple Dragon Martial Arts. On Sunday enjoy The Company Kids – Orange County Song & Dance and Sangre Morena Latin Music.

SYMPHONY AT SUNSET

Saturday 2 pm – 8 pm, Sunset Beach Park, Vancouver

Enjoy a free open-air concert at Sunset Beach. This year, concert-goers will be humming along to recognizable music from hit films like Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, E.T. and more, plus a selection of classical favourites!

THEATRE UNDER THE STARS

Saturday & Sunday 8 pm, Malkin Bowl, Stanley Park

A beloved Vancouver tradition since 1940. Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) presents its explosive 2024 season, featuring CATS and School of Rock. From one of the longest-running musicals of all time to a feel-good tribute to rock ‘n roll, TUTS invites audiences to dream big, live boldly, and rock out into the night this summer season.

TOUR DE CONCORD BIKE FESTIVAL

Saturday 11 am – 3 pm, Concord Pacific Place, 88 Pacific Boulevard Vancouver

Watch competitive pro cyclists race laps on the north shore of Vancouver’s False Creek.
