HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS

Saturday 2 pm and 7 pm, The Pacific Coliseum

This is a basketball event like no other! Ankle-breaking moves, jaw-dropping swag and rim-rattling dunks are only some of the thrill you can expect from this fully modernized show. With tons of interactive family entertainment, this new tour will show off the best of the Globetrotters in a dazzling exhibition of talent and game.

UBC BASKETBALL

Saturday 4 pm and 6 pm, War Memorial Gym, UBC

Check out some great local basketball action when UBC Women’s and Men’s Basketball hosts UBC Okanagan. Women’s game starts at 4 pm and the men at 6 pm. Tickets for kids are free and adults are just $10 to watch some awesome basketball.

LUNAR FEST VANCOUVER

Saturday and Sunday, Ocean Artworks, Granville Island

Another chance to celebrate the year of the rabbit with free, family-friendly workshops from the diverse communities of Vancouver. Share stories through arts and crafts, music, food, and more. Check out the schedule of the different workshops offered on their website.

SUPER SATURDAY – IT’S A BREEZE

Saturday 10 am – 4 pm, Fraser River Discovery Centre, New Westminster

Super Saturdays is a monthly family program hosted by the Fraser River Discovery Centre celebrating the living, working Fraser River. This Saturday families can learn how the Fraser Canyon influences weather in the Lower Mainland, including why we were so snowy this December!

STREET FOOD CITY

Saturday 11 am – 9 pm, Sunday 11 am – 7 pmoutside the Vancouver Art Gallery

Street Food City is a flavour-filled, family-friendly celebration of myriad cuisines that have helped turn Vancouver into an internationally renowned dynamic dining destination. Free entry.

HOT CHOCOLATE FESTIVAL

Saturday and Sundayvarious locations

Another great weekend to take the family to enjoy a special treat! The Hot Chocolate Festival runs until February 14. There are more than 95 vendors and 143 unique concoctions on offer. It’s a fun thing to try out with the kids. Check out the map of what’s going on and where.

LIGHTS AT LAFARGE

Saturday and Sunday, LaFarge Lake, Coquitlam

While all the other holiday light events are done for the season, there is still one you can check out! The gorgeous and free light display all around LaFarge lake is still on. The lights turn on at dusk and remain on to 11 p.m. nightly until Feb. 21.
