SUPER SATURDAY – RUNOFF RACE

Saturday 10 am – 4 pm, Fraser River Discovery Centre, New Westminster

Spring in the lower mainland means lots of rain plus melting snow from the mountains, repeating the cycle of flooding that has been part of the natural cycle of the Fraser River basin for thousands of years. As flooding becomes more frequent and unpredictable with climate change, how can we redesign our communities to keep people and places safe? Test out your urban design skills with the stormwater bins at this Super Saturday!

ROCK AND GEM SHOW

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 4 pm, Albion Community Centre, Maple Ridge

A great family event to promote the lapidary arts and earth sciences in the community through demonstrations and displays. Vendors of gems, silver, tools, supplies also handmade art from jewellery to carvings. Live auctions 2pm daily, hourly door prizes, snack bar, free kid’s crafts area, and more. Entry is free.

HERITAGE DAY 

Sunday 12 pm – 3 pm, Port Moody Station Museum

A free family friendly event that features interactive activities for all to enjoy. No registration required.

LOVE LIGHTS

Saturday – Monday 10 am – 8 pmCapilano Suspension Bridge

This is the final weekend for this beautiful and romantic themed lights all throughout the Capilano Suspension Bridge park in celebration of February, the month of love!

UNIVERSITY PLAYOFF SPORTS

Saturday, game times listed below, War Memorial Gym & Doug Mitchell Arena, UBC

It’s playoff time up at UBC! UBC Women’s Volleyball is taking on Manitoba on Saturday at 6 pm in the Canada West Quarterfinals at War Memorial Gym. UBC Women’s Hockey is hosting Saskachewan at 7 pm in the Canada West Semifinals at Doug Mitchell Arena. Kids get in free!

If you love cutie stuff then this is the market for you! Vancouver’s largest market for locally made, imported, and Japanese inspired products and food. Featuring over 50 vendors offering yummy Japanese food, unique Japanese themed cute (KAWAII) merchandise, crafts and art

PINECONE BIRD FEEDER AT THE KIDS MARKET

Sunday 12 pm – 3 pm, Granville Island Kids Market

Your kids can take part in a free craft, making their own bird feeders, at Granville Island Kids Market. Everything will be supplied.
