NATURE’S NINJAS

Saturday and Sunday, the Vancouver Aquarium

A brand new exhibit is now open at the Vancouver Aquarium. Discover some of the animal kingdom’s most clever defense mechanisms up close during an ALL-NEW interactive exhibit, Nature’s Ninjas: Defenses of the Animal Kingdom! Come face to face with some amazing new animals to learn all about their sneaky self-defense strategies during engaging small group talks and get hands-on with incredible interactive displays.

SPREAD LOVE: VALENTINE’S CARD MAKING

Saturday 11 am – 3 pm, Coquitlam Heritage at Mackin House

Head to Mackin House to do something lovely for someone else this Valentine’s Day. You can make a card for a senior resident at Foyer Maillard. Help spread love to the community seniors by making a Valentines Day card that will be hand delivered by the Mckin staff.

RIVER BASIN DAYS

Saturday 2 pm – 3 pm, Serpentine Hollow, Surrey

Did you know that there are around 15,000 species of moss around the world, and that they have been on this planet for 320 million years?  Join the Fraser River Discovery Centre at Serpentine Hollow as you learn to identify native mosses and craft your very own Moss Friends!

COMMUNITY DAYS

Sunday, 10 am – 5 pm, Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

Free admission for this fun, community festival. There will be live performances and musical acts, plus arts and crafts, taro readings, fortune gelling, garden tours and more.

LOVE LIGHTS

Saturday and Sunday 10 am – 8 pmCapilano Suspension Bridge

Enjoy beautiful and romantic themed lights all throughout the Capilano Suspension Bridge park in celebration of February, the month of love!
