ANNUAL CHINATOWN SPRING FESTIVAL PARADE

Sunday 11 am – 2 pm, Chinatown, 50 Pender St E, Vancouver

The parade features the largest assembly of traditional lion dance teams in Canada with dozens of colourful and energetic lions. This amazing event attracts over 4000 participants with 100 000 spectators lining the route.

LUNAR NEW YEAR CELEBRATION: YEAR OF THE DRAGON 2024

Sunday 12 pm – 5 pm, Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden

Live performances, cultural street cuisines, calligraphy, tea ceremonies, fortune telling and more!

LUNAR NEW YEAR AT THE CHINESE CANADIAN MUSEUM

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 5 pm, Chinese Canadian Museum, 51 E Pender, Vancouver

The museum will feature guided tours, calligraphy, print making , lion dance, and free tastings of traditional Lunar New Year candy and snacks.

CELEBRATE LUNAR NEW YEAR

Enjoy a captivating lion dance, an artisan market, arts and crafts and more.

Enjoy a Chinese Traditional Dance performance.

Come make buttons and dragon puppets to celebrate the year of the dragon! All ages are welcome.

CREATE AND CONNECT: LUNAR NEW YEAR

Saturday 10:30 am – 4 pm, Museum of North Vancouver

Explore traditional New Year customs, try writing couplets, and learn about dragon imagery throughout history wile drawing your own dragon. Storytelling, snacks and daikon cake tasting are also available throughout the day.

LION DANCE CEREMONY

Saturday 10 am – 2 pm, South Granville Plaza at Granville and 14th

Witness the vibrant lion dance blessings, follow the lions around as they visit local businesses, feel the beat of the drums and help welcome the new year.

LION DANCE MARPOLE VILLAGE

Saturday 10 am, Granville Street, Marpole Village, Vancouver

The Lion will make its way down the west side of Granville Street to 71st and then northwards along the eastside of the street, stopping to perform New Year blessings on many Marpole businesses.

LOVE LIGHTS

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 9 pm, The Capilano Suspension Bridge

The beautiful suspension bridge and surrounding park will be all lit up for Valentine’s Day. Stroll a sparkling Cliffwalk and pose under the rainforest chandelier. Lots of perfect photo opportunities.
