Family Events for the Weekend of December 2 & 3

ICS CHRISTMAS FAIR

Saturday 8:30 am – 1 pm, Immaculate Conception School, 3778 W.28th ave, Vancouver

I have to include this event and put it first in the list because I am chairing this Christmas Fair. Lots of family fun including a pancake breakfast, photos with Santa, games room, bake sale, book sale, toy sale, kids crafts and more!

CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK

Saturday 4 pm – 8 pm, Memorial Peace Park, Maple Ridge

Come downtown and enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season. There is something for everyone – seasonal crafts, photos with Santa or the Grinch, sparkling Christmas trees, a traditional Christmas market, food trucks and more, all topped off with the Santa Claus Parade! Come and enjoy all that Winterfest has to offer.

SANTA PARADE MAPLE RIDGE

Saturday 6 pm – 8 pm, Memorial Peace Park, Maple Ridge

Parade starts at Plaza and Dewdney Trunk Rd and proceeds through to 224th and heads south through the Memorial Peace Park and back onto 224th then heads down Selkirk.

SURREY SANTA CLAUS PARADE

Sunday 5 pm, Cloverdale Town Centre

The 13th Annual Surrey Santa Parade continues to grow in popularity and we continue to see new entries like Western Pacific Enterprises 50 foot decorated crane. The parade has a wonderful mix of antique vehicles, big rigs, boats, floats, marching bands, mascots (like Mr Peanut), remote controlled vehicles, dancers, service clubs and sports teams.

WINTER WONDERS COMMUNITY CELEBRATION

Sunday 12 pm – 3 pm, Coquitlam Heritage at Mackin House

Visit with Santa, make crafts, sip hot chocolate while listening to carols and stories that celebrate the magic of the winter season at this free event.

CANDYTOWN

Saturday 12 pm – 5 pm, Yaletown, Vancouver

We wish to invite you to Downtown Vancouver’s only FREE outdoor winter festival, which will transform Yaletown public plazas into a winter wonderland. Lights and candy canes will adorn lamp poles and costumed characters will parade down the street. Plus horse drawn carriage rides, ice carvings, candy station, letters to Santa and more.

CHRISTMAS AT CANADA PLACE

Saturday & Sunday, Canada Place

 Experience the nostalgic tradition of the Woodward’s Windows, the North Point light display including “Chrismoose,” our 15-foot tall moose light sculpture, the iconic Sails of Light, and the festive Avenue of Trees at this free, family-friendly event.

BRIGHT NIGHTS IN STANLEY PARK

Saturday & Sunday, Stanley Park Train

If you were one of the lucky ones to snag tickets to the Stanley Park train, this is the first weekend it is in operation!

SPIRIT OF THE SEASON FESTIVAL AT THE SHIPYARDS

Sunday 11 am – 5 pm, the Shipyards, North Vancouver

A free community event with live music, and artisan market, ice skating and the lighting of the City of North Vancouver’s official Christmas tree.

BRIGHT WALK IN WHITE ROCK

Saturday 4 pm – 8 pm, White Rock waterfront

Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy live entertainment on stage, photos with Santa, Festive Holiday Market in the White Rock Museum, light up robot and juggler performances, kid’s crafts and more.

DUNDARAVE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Saturday & Sunday, along the West Vancouver waterfront

The Forest of Miracles this season has over 150 beautifully decorated Christmas trees lining the West Vancouver Waterfront from the Grosvenor Ambleside Galleria to Dundarave Beach. Each tree is decorated by a local family, business, church, school or organization.

SPEND THE DAY WITH SANTA IN STEVESTON VILLAGE

Sunday, Steveston Village

Enjoy breakfast with Santa, a classic car cruise, horse drawn carriage rides and photos with Santa.
