PNE FAIR 

Saturday & Sunday 11 am – 11 pm, PNE Fairgrounds

The fair is back for the final two weeks of summer! In addition to the Playground rides and midway you can expect the SuperDogs, Dueling Pianos, agriculture displays, the drag show For the Love of Drag, cooking demonstrations, musical performances at Music in the Park, exhibits, and, Summer Night Concerts!

RICHMOND GARLIC FEST

Saturday 10 am – 3 pm, Terra Nova Rural Park, 2771 Westminster Hwy, Richmond

From garlic ice cream to roasted garlic, from braided garlic-stalk headbands to hundreds of pounds of garlic for sale, the Annual Richmond Garlic Fest is a must-see event for the entire family.Spend the day enjoying live music, shopping for local goods and  produce, observing raptor demonstrations, playing in our celebrated kid’s zone, savouring delicious foods and taking part in various free workshops, on topics such as sustainable farming practices, native bees, native plants, local birds and how to grow your own garlic.

FESTIVAL OF INDIA

Sunday 11 am – dusk, Creekside Park, Vancouver

Come celebrate Festival of India & Vancouver’s 52nd annual Ratha-Yatra! Live, Music, Theatre, Cultural Dance, Kirtans Kids & Teens Fun Zone, Veggie Feast, and free admission for all.

CITY OF PORT MOODY CAR FREE DAY

Sunday 12 pm – 5 pm, St.Johns Street, Port Moody

Enjoy this huge, free celebration filled with local businesses, musicians, mini golf, a climbing wall, and lots of delicious food.

NEW WEST PRIDE FESTIVAL

Saturday 3 pm – 8 pm, Blocks 8th-4th, Columbia St. New Westminster

Celebrate Pride with fun activities, community events and more! Join the fun and excitement with the 2024 edition of the Columbia Street Festival featuring Vendors, Stages, Food, Drinks, and Street Performers.

RIBFEST LANGLEY

Saturday & Sunday 11 am – 9 pm, McLeod Park, Langley

Ribfest Langley is a free family-friendly Metro Vancouver festival that’s hosted by area Rotary clubs and features live music, BBQ-ed ribs and craft beer.

RICHMOND SUNFLOWER FESTIVAL

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 7 pm, Richmond Country Farms, Richmond

Picture yourself surrounded by vibrant sunflowers and dahlias that stretch as far as the eye can see across 20 acres of pure beauty. Upon arrival, follow the signs leading to the sunflower festival. You’ll hop on a tractor and wagon to transport you to the breathtaking fields of flowers.

DOG DAYS OF SUMMER

Saturday 12 pm – 3 pm, Coquitlam Heritage at Mackin House

Bring your pup along for this fun day! View a selection of vendors and discover the community of pet lovers in your neighbourhood. There will also be arts and craft activities available. Those visiting with their dogs will have the opportunity to participate in a photoshoot station to get a portrait of their pet professionally taken outside by the train caboose, and participate in the Puppy Parade.

GREENDALE ACRES CORN MAZE

Saturday & Sunday, Greendale Acres Farm, Chilliwack

This year the Corn Maze is turning their cornfield into a party with country singing sensation Luke Bryan in partnership with 93.7 JR Country. The layout of the 10-acre field bearing the name and likeness of the five-time CMA Entertainer of the Year and American Idol judge strumming a guitar along with a pair of cowboy boots. On Saturday nights in August there will also be fully licensed and family friendly music events that feature local musicians and bands like Ryan McCallister, Tanner Olsen and more as well as activities for kids of all ages and delicious food and drink offerings down on the farm.

BC LIONS FAM FEST

Sunday 4 pm, BC Place Stadium

Famfest – Football is fun for the entire family and this big clash with the Bombers includes several family-oriented themes including a half-time musical performance Fred Penner and 5,000 BC Lions Jibbitz being handed out at the gates!
