Hi everyone! Okay…not gonna lie. I’m kinda phoning it in on this one. My family is currently away on vacation in Maui this week, so I am probably on a beach right now as you read this. However, I hate missing a weekend events post so I’m going to do the best I can with Earth Day weekend of April 23 and 24, and get this post done as I sip a pina colada (sorry, not sorry).

CHILLIWACK TULIP FESTIVAL
Saturday and Sunday, 41310 Royalwood Ave Chilliwack
Walk around and enjoy acres of flowers in full bloom. There are a ton of wonderful spots to grab a photo, enjoy the farm shop and some food trucks.
CELEBRATE EARTH DAY IN LANGLEY
Saturday 10 am – 2 pm, Douglas Park, Langley
Join this free family event that includes an Earth Day scavenger hunt, Community Garden Tours, Gardening with Kids at 1 pm, seed giveaways and more.

SUPER SATURDAY AT FRASER RIVER DISCOVERY CENTRE
Saturday 10 am – 4 pm, Fraser River Discovery Centre, New Westminster
Celebrate the amazing diversity of plant life that call the Fraser River Basin home. Join to learn about some of BC’s native plants, create your own plant designs using colourful felt pieces. This activity is aimed at children between the ages of 6-11.

The final weekend for this carnival event. Enjoy tons of fun rides and midway games. Rides for all ages!
ROGERS HOMETOWN HOCKEY

Rogers Hometown Hockey makes its way to North Vancouver, and you can expect a great weekend of FREE, Covid-friendly, hockey-related activities, NHL Alumni appearances, music, and fun for the whole family!
THE VANCOUVER SUN RUN
Sunday, 10 km route around downtown Vancouver
I mean, if you aren’t already signed up to do the Vancouver Sun Run you probably aren’t likely to sign up now and run it with the family (but maybe you are – go you!). But I really love taking the kids to line up somewhere along the route and cheer on the runners. As long as the weather is decent, I just think it’s fun, and inspiring!
