FAN EXPO VANCOUVER

Fan Expo is a three- day pop culture convention. Attendees can shop hundreds of vendors and exhibitors, check out panels and workshops, meet their favourite stars and creators.

FAMILY DAY WEEKEND AT CYPRESS MOUNTAIN

Saturday – Monday, Cypress Mountain

Cypress Mountain has a weekend long schedule full of family fun. Head to their website to learn all about the live entertainment, face painting, treats and so much more.

Saturday – Monday 10 am – 8 pmCapilano Suspension Bridge

Enjoy the final weekend for this beautiful and romantic themed lights all throughout the Capilano Suspension Bridge park in celebration of February, the month of love!

THE GREAT CANADIAN KILT SKATE

Saturday 8:30 pm, The Shipyards Ice Rink

The Great Canadian Kilt Skate will take place in Vancouver for the first time ever, at the open air public rink at the Shipyards! Come join in some bag piping, Celtic music and hot chocolate fun. Everyone is invited to this free event, but space is limited, so register ahead of time.

FAMILY DAY AT DARTS HILL GARDEN PARK

Saturday 10 am – 4 pm, Darts Hill Garden Park, Surrey

Join for a special winter opening and take part in family-friendly activities like an introduction to birding workshop, guided nature walks, live music and more. Event activities are free with entry to the garden.

STEVESTON TRAM FAMILY DAY FAMILY DAY WEEKEND

Saturday – Monday, Steveston Tram, Richmond

Explore the interactive displays, including a light up map that traces the routes of the historic Interurban tram. See the new LEGO model of Tram Car 1220 and the Steveston Tram Barn. Kids will enjoy activities including a Tram Conductor dress-up corner, LEGO building corner and transportation-themed craft and reading area.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH FAMILY DAY

Saturday 12 pm – 3 pm, Victoria Community Hall, Coquitlam

Celebrate the dynamic and varied cultures of the African diaspora in the Lower Mainland. Come dance, craft, visit with neighbours, and enjoy amazing foods together in community. Listen to bands representing a variety of African musical traditions and styles, visit booths from community partners, enjoy African inspired treats, face painting, balloon animals, and even take selfies with a princess.

FAMILY FUN ON THE FRASER

Saturday – Monday 10 am – 4 pm, Fraser River Discovery Centre

Investigate the biodiversity hiding under the surface of the living, working Fraser River. Colour a creature to add to a Fraser River habitat map, see what you can spot in the Fraser River, and join for storytime! Free admission on Monday.

FAMILY DAY AT NIKKEI CENTRE

Saturday 10 am – 5 pm, Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre, Burnaby

Listen to Japanese storytelling, take photos with girl’s and boy’s day displays, experience Japanese toys and crafts, and watch a anime.

KIDS TAKEOVER UBC

Sunday 11 am – 5 pm, University of British Columbia

Celebrate Family Day weekend by bringing your entire family to UBC . Kids and youth will take on adult-sized roles, working alongside staff and volunteers to participate and promote arts and culture at UBC. There will be kid-friendly arts festival featuring plays, live music, tours, costumes, makeup, dance, youth-led arts, a marching band, a photo booth, and food

Join us at Museum of Vancouver this Family Day and receive complimentary admission during opening hours (10-5pm) and register for scheduled programming with local storytellers

Head to the pool for an afternoon of attendant-led games, activities and prizes!

Join for a celebration that includes face painting, arts and crafts, free refreshments, bouncy castle and more! Registration is not required.

CHILDREN’S ART FESTIVAL

Monday 10 am – 4 pmRichmond Cultural Centre

Families can spark their imagination through music, hands-on activities, literary and performing arts. The day-long program features free performances and drop-in workshops, and select paid registered classes.

BURNABY VILLAGE MUSEUM

Monday 9:30 am – 5 pm, Burnaby Village Museum

It’s free to visit the Burnaby Village Museum and on Family Day you can tour the heritage homes and spend some time crafting using upcycled materials. All supplies and instructions will be provided.

FAMILY DAY AT FORT LANGLEY 

Monday 10 am – 5 pm, Fort Langley

Participate in river and ocean-themed activities and learn about the site’s connection to salmon and killer whales with guests from the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site, the Parks Canada Southern Resident Killer Whale team, Salmon River Enhancement Society, Derby Reach Brae Island Parks Association, and more!

FAMILY DAY AT THE SHIPYARDS

Monday 1 pm – 8 pm, The Shipyards, North Vancouver

Bring the entire family for a public skate while enjoying activations throughout the day including food trucks, live music, an ice skating performance and more.

FAMILY DAY AT STEWART FARM

Monday 12 pm – 4:30 pm, Stewart Farm, Surrey

Enjoy some old-fashioned family fun at the farm! Explore the historic farmhouse on your own or guided by staff with some amazing stories and facts. Try your hand at old-fashioned chores and eventually catch butter making demonstrations at 1pm and 3pm. Also visit the craft station to make a traditional paper toy to take home
