It’s hard to believe we got here so fast (especially with the late opening of Kits Pool) but this is the final weekend to enjoy Kits Pool, Second Beach Pool, Maple Grove Pool and New Brighton, so take advantage!
POLISH FESTIVAL VANCOUVER
Sunday 1 pm – 8 pm, The Shipyards, North Vancouver
Free festival open to everyone. Polish music, singing and folk dancing and a special program for children and youth, arts and games activities, sing along, balloon lady, face-painting and more.
ITALIAN SUMMER FESTIVAL AND CAR SHOW
Sunday 11 am – 4 pm, Italian Cultural Centre, Vancouver
Free, family event with outdoor food festival, fun activities and a car show in our parking lot.
NIKKEI MATSURI FESTIVAL
Saturday and Sunday 11 am – 7 pm, Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre, Burnaby
One of the largest Japanese festivals in Canada. It brings an authentic Matsuri experience to Burnaby every summer at Nikkei Centre. Showcasing the pride of Japanese culture here in Canada, all proceeds benefit our cultural and community programs, educational outreach, and museum.
FINAL WEEKEND FOR THE SUNFLOWER FESTIVALS
Saturday-Monday, Richmond and Chilliwack Sunflower Festivals
This is the final weekend of both the Richmond and the Chilliwack Sunflower festivals. These are gorgeous spots to take the family!
LABOUR DAY FAIR
Monday 11 am – 4 pm, Burnaby Village Museum
Join for old-fashioned fun complete with games of chance, entertainment, demonstrations, and more. Free admission and free carousel rides.
BRASIL 200
Monday 11 am – 4 pm, Roundhouse Community Centre
Come celebrate Brazilian Independence Day with a lot of Brazilian food, dance, crafts and music including live bands. Bring your family and friends to show them what it’s like to be Brazilian!
SERBIAN DAYS VANCOUVER

The Serbian Community invites you to enjoy a weekend of exciting performances, live music, fun activities, delicious food, competitions and much more! Expect to taste, see and take part in some of the nation’s cultural delights.
VICTORY SQUARE BLOCK PARTY

LABOUR DAY AT TROUT LAKE PARK
Monday, John Hendry Park, Vancouver
A free, fun, family-friendly event featuring live entertainment, children’s activities, food, and booths sponsored by a variety of labour and community organizations. There will also be a short rally with guest speakers. All are welcome.
NEW WEST LABOUR DAY PICNIC
Monday 11:30 am – 2: 30 pm, Holland Park, Surrey
A free, family friendly picnic on Labour Day. There will be food, kids’ games and activities, live music and guest speaker Minister of Labour Harry Bains.
