PUMPKIN PATCHES AND HALLOWEEN FUN

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL AT WEST POINT GREY CC

Saturday 10 am – 2pm, West Point Grey Community Centre

Join for thrills, chills and ghost games at the West Point Grey Community Centre’s Halloween Carnival. Come dressed in costume and enjoy, games, a bewitched bouncy castle and treats for everyone. Registration is $10 per child.

DUNBAR COMMUNITY CENTRE HALLOWEEN TRICK OR TREAT

Saturday 1:30 – 3:30 pm, Dunbar Community Centre

Decorate your own special candy bag, then trick-or-treat in over ten rooms around the community centre! $5 per child

DUNBAR VILLAGE TRICK OR TREAT

Saturday 3 – 5 pm, Dunbar Village Businesses

Get in costume and head to the businesses along Dunbar street in Vancouver for trick or treating!

HOWL-O-WEEN ON WEST BROADWAY

Saturday 1 pm – 4 pm, West Broadway in Kits

Visit over 70 merchants for free Halloween candy, sweet treats, and pet treats all along Broadway between Collingwood to Larch St.  Just look for the pumpkin in the window and the wagging tails!

KITSPATCH

Saturday 11 am, corner of west 4th and Burrard, Vancouver

If you haven’t picked the perfect pumpkin just yet, join the West 4th Business Improvement Association on Saturday, October 26th for Kitspatch at the Kitswings mural at West 4th & Burrard. There will be a photographer available to take your photos and dog treats for your furry friends. The event starts at 11:00am and runs until all 200 pumpkins are gone.

HALLOWEEN HOWL

Saturday 10 am – 1 pm, False Creek Community Centre

Mini gym, bouncy castle, toys, Photo Booth and pumpkin craft with goodie bags, plus a spooky house!

HALLOWEEN AT STRATHCONA

Saturday 10:30 am – 12:30 pm, Strathcona Community Centre

Walk through a haunted house and get spooked, then join in the fun for the carnival. Come in costume! There will be goodie bags for those who survive.

DOUGLAS PARK CC HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL OF FRIGHTS

Saturday 11 am – 1 pm, Douglas Park Community Centre, Vancouver

Dress up in your favorite costume, enjoy games, crafts and treats. Event suitable for children ages 0-8 yrs old. Please pre-register in advance, this popular event sells out. $5/child (Parents and children under 1 year are FREE)

HOWL-O-WEEN AT THE SHIPYARDS

Saturday 1 pm – 5 pm, The Shipyard Commons, North Vancouver

This free event will feature a performance by the Superdogs, also enjoy local DJs, dance troupes, food trucks, workshops with Vancouver Circus School and more.

ABERDEEN CENTRE SPOOK-TACULAR FROSTY FUN

Sunday 1 pm – 4 pm, Central Atrium, Aberdeen Centre, Richmond

Get ready for some fun with live entertainment, shows, art, balloon artists and trick or treating.

HERITAGE HALLOWEEN: ALICE IN SCARY WONDERLAND

Saturday 12 pm – 3 pm, Coquitlam Heritage at Mackin House

Walk through an Alice in Wonderland themed haunted train station, visit characters from the story, get your face painted, and visit the stations inside the museum and out in Heritage Square for crafts and candy. Also be sure to stop by the small pumpkin patch and take home a pumpkin, first come first serve. This is a free event.

SPOOKTACULAR HALLOWEEN MARKET

Saturday 10 am – 4 pm, 6050 and 6060 176th St, Surrey 

Spooktacular Halloween Market is back for our 7th year raising money For Surrey Hospitals Foundation! Mario and Luigi will be dropping by between 1030-1230. We have face painting, bounce house, balloon twister, cotton candy, food trucks, over 90 vendors with spooky wares

SPOOKTACULAR NEWTON

Saturday 11 am – 4 pm, 137 Street, 7380 King George Blvd, Surrey

Complete with trick-or-treating, mini golf, haunted train rides, kid fun zone, face painting, food trucks, bouncy castles and games; Spooktacular Newton has something for everyone. Don’t miss the special dance performances by City Entertainment. And don’t forget to grab your pumpkin by donation on your way out; all proceeds going to the Surrey Food Bank.

HALLOWEEN FREE SKATE

Sunday 5:30 pm – 7 pm, Kerrisdale Arena

Enjoy free skating, skate rentals and refreshments at the Kerrisdale Arena for the Halloween skate.

SALMON COME HOME

Sunday 11 am – 3 pm, Hoy Creek Hatchery Site, Coquitlam

Celebrate local salmon-spawning creeks and salmon at this annual event. At this year’s event you can visit the fish hatchery, see salmon fry, view a salmon dissection and learn about what salmon species are returning this year. There will be stream-side live salmon showing and talks, hatchery tours, a watershed walk, musical entertainment, interactive children’s activities,; food, educational exhibits, and more.

CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

Saturday & Sunday 2 pm and 7 pm shows, Norman Rothstein Theatre, Vancouver

Based on the famous novel by Roald Dahl, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory features an original score composed by Marc Shaiman with lyrics by Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray) and a book by David Greig.
