CAR FREE DAY VANCOUVER

Saturday 12 pm – 7 pm, Main Street, Vancouver

Enjoy delicious food and drinks, local art, live music, and celebrate car-free culture as Main Street is opened to pedestrian traffic only all afternoon.

UBC FARM FALL FAIR

Saturday 10 am – 2 pm, UBC Farm, 3461 Ross Drive, Vancouver

Celebrate the changing seasons and learn about sustainable food at our fourth annual Fall Fair, where you can get your fill of fall bounty fruits and vegetables alongside u-pick pumpkins, pie contest and tasting, live music, kids’ activities, weirdest veggie contest, and more!

JAPAN MARKET FALL FAIR

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 5 pm, Robson Square Ice Rink and UBC Sunroom, Vancouver

Come and enjoy some yummy Japanese food, shop for unique Japanese style crafts and merchandise from over 70 vendors. Enjoy free entertainment such as Yosakoi dance, Taiko, Japanese music, martial arts demo and sword performances.

MID AUTUMN MOON FESTIVAL 2024

Saturday & Sunday 4 pm – 9 pm, Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden, Vancouver

Immerse yourself in the celestial dance of Yin and Yang. Experience two magical evenings featuring lion dances, live music, cultural crafts, delightful treats, invigorating drinks, tea ceremonies, and more!

MOONLIGHT MAGIC: MID-AUTUMN CELEBRATION

Saturday 6 pm, Gateway Theatre, 6500 Gilbert Road, Richmond

Lantern play is part of the tradition of Mid-Autumn and families will kick off the festivities by crafting beautiful lanterns by hand and enjoying free mooncakes. Attendees of all ages will have the chance to learn the significance of lantern-making while crafting their own masterpieces. Families are encouraged to do the crafting together, then carry their handmade lantern as we begin a breathtaking procession into Minoru Park.

COQUITLAM MID AUTUMN MOON CELEBRATION

Saturday 12 pm – 3 pm, Coquitlam Heritage at Mackin House, Coquitlam

There will be performances going on throughout the day, mooncake demos in our museum kitchen, face painting, activities for kids, snacks and drinks available, and a selection of different vendors for you to browse through.

CINEPLEX COMMUNITY DAY FREE MOVIES

Saturday 9 am – 11 am, various Cineplex locations

You can visit the local Cineplex theatre to celebrate Community Day by enjoying a FREE movie and helping raise money for BGC Canada (formerly Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada) on the morning of Saturday, September 14th. Now in its 12th year, on Community Day, Cineplex theatres will show a morning of free family-friendly films, as well as discounted concession items at $3.00 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. only. GREENDALE ACRES

Saturday 10 am – 9 pm & Sunday 10 am – 6 pm, Greendale Acres Farm, Chilliwack

Join for an enchanting morning with a Fairy Tale Princess in our beautiful flower fields.  Dress up as your beloved fairytale character, and meet a real-life princess as they wander through the blooms. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit with the amazing Spider Man. Test your skills in our interactive obstacle course, designed to make you feel like a superhero!  We will have spidey-inspired treats like WEB cotton candy and SPIDER-BITES popcorn available for sale at our concession hut. Get ready to share stories, take photos and enjoy time with your favourite characters on the farm.

STAL’EW POW WOW

Saturday 11 am – 10 pm & Sunday 10 am – 6 pm, Langley Events Centre

Witness and support the intergenerational transfer of traditional songs, dances, regalia, languages, medicines, foods, and artwork. Attendees can fill their ears, eyes, bellies, and hands with curated Indigenous ways of being, knowing, and eating.
