GREEK DAY ON BROADWAY

Sunday, West Broadway from Blenheim to MacDonald

Greek Day on Broadway is the largest one-day Greek festival in Vancouver. A five block stretch on West Broadway, is closed off to traffic to make room for a world of delicious Greek food and drink, market vendors, entertainment and live music.

KITSILANO SHOWBOAT OPENING WEEKEND

Saturday & Sunday 7 pm, Kitsilano Show Boat, Kits Beach

Kitsilano Showboat operates as a community stage for amateur entertainment over the summer months at Kitsilano beach. Drop by and watch some local entertainment in front of a gorgeous Vancouver beach.

LYNN VALLEY DAYS

Saturday 8 am – 4 pm, Lynn Valley Park, North Vancouver

Games and large inflatable bouncy toys for the kids, maypole dancing, face painters, pancake breakfast, parade and more.

STRATHCONA BLOCKS PARTY 2024

Saturday 12 pm – 5 pm, 600 – 900 Blocks of East Hastings, Vancouver

A free community celebration with live music performances from local artists, watch live art installations come to life, indulge in mouthwatering offerings from local food trucks, and peruse the curated vendor market by Made in the 604.

27TH ANNUAL SCANDINAVIAN MIDSUMMER FESTIVAL

Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 4 pm, Scandinavian Community Centre, Burnaby

Two days of live music with the a number of individual artists, groups and choirs. There will be performances by the Scandinavian Dancers and the Vikings in the Viking Village, including songs, games and a real Viking raid – beware of the Norse!

HILLCREST SUMMER FESTIVAL

Saturday 11 am – 3 pm, Riley Park Community Centre, Vancouver

A free family event with live performances, carnival themed activities, concession, music, food, games and so much more!

COMMUNITY DAY AT DOUGLAS PARK

Saturday 11 am – 3 pm, Douglas Park, Vancouver

Join for a day of celebration and festivities including games, community performances and family fun.

INDIGENOUS PEOPLE’S DAY

Saturday 10 am – 2 pm, Memorial Peace Park, Maple Ridge

Indigenous People’s Day is a celebration of the unique heritage, diverse culture and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada. Everyone is welcome for a full day of storytelling, dancing, drumming, art exhibits, crafts, food and more traditional activities.

BURNABY PINOY FESTIVAL

Saturday 8:30 am – 9 pm, Swanguard Stadium, Burnaby

The Pinoy Festival  is part of June Filipino Heritage Month celebrations and it will be a showcase of traditional dances, cultural performances, small business vendors and artisans, live bands, Filipino food, food trucks and more. It’s a free family friendly event that will have something for everyone.

THE VIMFF SUMMER FEST

Saturday 1 pm – 8:30 pm, The Shipyards, North Vancouver

A free, family-friendly outdoor event that features award-winning mountain films, live performances, an artisan market, food trucks, a beer garden, fun activities and more!

17TH ANNUAL TEDDY BEAR PICNIC

Saturday 11 am – 2pm, St. Andrew’s Park, North Vancouver

Activities include the popular adopt-a-bear tent, Doctor Bear for those teddies that need a little fixing up, Looking Glass Face Painters, cookie decorating, entertainment from clowns Dilly & Donna and Music with Marnie, and more! There will be food and drink as well. The picnic is free, and all are welcome!

DRONE SHOW AT CONCORD PACIFIC DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL

Saturday 9:30 pm, False Creek, Vancouver

The skies above False Creek come alive on June 22 (~9:30 pm), with a dazzling aerial drone performance synchronized to a local music soundtrack. This will be Vancouver’s first public drone show. The family-friendly show will begin as the sun sets over the Vancouver skyline, and can be viewed from around the North East False Creek basin and screens throughout the site.
