VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S FESTIVAL

Head down to Granville Island for the Vancouver International Children’s Festival and enjoy spectacular performances from around the globe for kids and families of all ages! The 2024 Festival features circus arts, puppetry, theatre, dance, and music shows plus lots of arts activities created just for children.
HATS OFF DAY
Saturday 9:30am – 4 pm, Hastings St, all the way from Boundary Rd. to Gamma Ave, Burnaby
Hats Off Day always features an abundance of live music (hosted by local merchants), roving entertainers for folks of all ages, the Family Fun Dash, Show & Shine, and of course, our signature Hats Off Day Parade.
PITT MEADOWS DAY
Saturday 7 am – 10 pm, Pitt Meadows Athletic Park
This beloved community tradition includes a pancake breakfast, an artisan and exhibitor market, live entertainment, food trucks, children’s activities, vintage tractors courtesy of the Pitt Meadow Museum, free family ice skating and a live drone show. The parade kicks off at 11 am.
LADNER BANDFEST
Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 5:30 pm, Memorial Park, Delta
The Ladner Bandfest brings over 500 amateur adult musicians playing in various Community Concert Bands to Memorial Park, Ladner for continuous FREE 40 minute concerts on two stages all day, both days throughout the weekend. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy an old-fashioned weekend of concert band music.
WEST VANCOUVER COMMUNITY CULTURAL FEST
Saturday 11 am – 9:30 pm, Ambleside Park, West Vancouver
This festival brings people together through food, music and culture. Expect cultural pavilions, live music, international dancers, kids zone, food and more.
MORE THAN A MOVIE
Sunday 11 am – 3 pm, BC Place Stadium
Kids Up Front invites you to be a part of More Than A Movie at BC Place. There are exciting on-field activities planned, like playing mini golf, a carnival arcade, kicking soccer balls, shooting hoops, and throwing footballs with the BC Lions, the Whitecaps, and the Bandits, along with a tour of the BC Sports Hall of Fame and performance by the School of Rock bands. Then, the highlight of the event will be a screening of the movie “Trolls Band Together” on the world’s second largest LED screen. Each attendee also gets to enjoy a delicious hot dog, a refreshing drink, and mouthwatering popcorn while watching the film.
DAY OF MUSIC

The VSO and VSO School of Music are excited for the return of Day of Music to Downtown Vancouver with FREE performances by musicians from across the Lower Mainland and beyond. Enjoy performances and activities by the VSO and others as we come together and celebrate the joy and fun of music. Enjoy 12 FREE hours of music at these stages: The Orpheum, VSO School of Music, Christ Church Cathedral and more.
MARPOLE COMMUNITY DAY
Saturday 11 am – 3 pm, Oak Park, Vancouver
Bring your family, friends and relatives to this longstanding Marpole tradition. Free activities on the day include amusement rides, inflatables, games, activities, balloon twisting, stage performances, and professional entertainment such as face painting and live music.
WILD KRATTS LIVE 2.0
Sunday 1 pm & 4:30 pm shows, Queen Elizabeth Theatre
Get ready to dive into another classic Wild Kratts adventure with the Kratt brothers as they combine live action and animation, with Martin and Chris LIVE on stage and the rest of the Wild Kratts team on screen, at the Tortuga HQ.
