BRAZILIAN CARNAVAL FAMILY
Saturday 11 am – 5 pm, Performance Works, Vancouver
Featuring child- and family-friendly opportunities to experience Brazilian culture, kids will move to the drumbeats of Coletivo Batucada Abrace, magicians and a circus performance. Caretta de Furacão street performers, a Bailinho de Carnaval dance party, arcade games, a dance station, face-painting, and a costume competition.
KIDS TAKEOVER UBC
Sunday 11 am – 5 pm, University of British Columbia, 2329 West Mall
Celebrate Family Day weekend by bringing your entire family to UBC . Kids and youth will take on adult-sized roles, working alongside staff and volunteers to participate and promote arts and culture at UBC. There will be kid-friendly arts festival featuring plays, live music, tours, costumes, makeup, dance, youth-led arts, a marching band, a photo booth, and food.
VCT FAMILY DAY OPEN HOUSE

Explore creation stations with your family at this free event and experiment together through a variety of artistic mediums and materials with the support of instructors from ArtStarts in Schools.

Jody Sparrow is a xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) born and raised Coast Salish artist known as a jeweller and carver. Jody will be hosting a drop-in paddle making demonstration and discussion. The Museum will also be free that day.
