REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY AND PARADE
Saturday 11 am, Cenotaph at Victory Square, Vancouver
This solemn ceremony includes the “Last Post”, the “Lament”, the fly-past, the change of the guard, the wreath-laying, the parade of veterans, military units, cadets, police, brass bands, and pipes and drums, and is befitting for the many tearful private moments of remembrance.
UBC REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY
Saturday 10 am doors open, UBC’s War Memorial Gym
This year’s ceremony will include participation and recognition of UBC’s Vancouver campus and will feature short readings, remarks from special guests and musical performances by the UBC’s School of Music.

The Remembrance Day ceremony at the Japanese Canadian War Memorial. All are welcome to attend and registration is not required.

Surrey’s Light Festival at Bear Creek Park is a beautiful evening display of illuminations. This is free event, but you need to book your entry time, it takes place between November 3 and November 11.
UBC FOOTBALL HOSTS THE HARDY CUP
Saturday 1 pm, Thunderbird Stadium UBC
UBC faces off against the University of Alberta in the Canada West final game, the Hardy Cup. Come out and cheer on the Thunderbirds in this fun game!
DIWALI CELEBRATION EVENT
Monday 11 am – 1 pm, Sunset Community Centre, Main St and East 49th
There will be performances, henna art, refreshments, turban tying, crafts and games. No registration needed.
